*~My homework assignment is at the bottom of the page.~*
It sounds funny to me to say I am a middle aged women.
I don't feel that on the inside, but my body tells me
otherwise. I love the little ragdoll on top. She is the
little girl in me. No Matter how I feel, I know that
I am "fearfully and wonderfully made. So after many years
of trying to be "grown up, I am finally letting go to God
and being the women He has created me to be, imperfections
and all. I am learning to accept me and make the best
of it by enjoying the many things in my life. So I'll
share some of the things that I like and bring me joy.
First of all I am a Christian and I love my Lord
Jesus with all my heart. Second I love my family.
God has blessed me with a great husband, 2 sons
and 1 daughter. In August 1999, my husband and I
renewed our vows and our children were our attendants.
You can read more about its and see pictures at our
25th anniversary page, the link is at the sitemap.
The Lord has also blessed us with our families.
We are all close and stay in touch as our famlies grow.
Then there is our dog Reina. Reina means queen is Spanish
and her name fits her just right. She thinks she rules
this house. Her middle name is Wrinkles, but she responds
to all sorts of nicknames...when she wants.
This was taken in Nov. 2000. Reina is 5 years now.
I don't like the way I came out, but Reina looks great
and she loves to pose for pictures! She has her own
website too with lots of pictures.
Update, Reina went to doggie heaven in 2010.
I am also very lucky to be blessed with a wonderful
church family. Our family hasn't been more happier since
we started going to New Beginings Community Chruch in 1993.
We have made many wonderful friends and that is evident
by what I write in my other pages.
We have grown as a family as our love for the Lord has grown.
But we are not perfect! We are still learning many things and
we make lots of mistakes. The Lord is our light and salvation.
The Lord has blessed me with many friends that are the
angels in my life. They have helped me to be me, and
not someone I was always trying to be. That means accepting
my uniqueness. Though I was raised in a very tidy
structured home, I have always liked things. My husband
calls it clutter and I call it my collectibles.
I collect angels, teacups and teapots, and windchimes.
I also collect Raggedy Anns,Bunnies, Scarecrows and Snowmen.
I also like to make rag dolls. I have made ragbunnies,
angels and Raggedy Anns. I am working on a Raggedy Ann
Air Freshner doll at the moment.
I prefer to make my gifts for my friends for Christmas.
I love to decorate shelves with the things I like.
I have 10 shelves and just got one that holds a
Noah's quilt.I also like country yard signs and candles.
I love primitive! I like to decorate my home according
to the seasons. I love Noah's Arks and I must have over
112 of them! So I guess you could say I am a collector!
I love to spend time in my garden and I like to visit
places that have pretty gardens. I really enjoy cutting
my roses and putting them in my house, or drying them
to use in arrangements and in popourri.
I am very involved with my church and am on the
Women's Board, and a facilitator to our Women's Recovery group.
You can read more about it at the link on the site map.
I graduated from the University of Irvine (UCI)
in 1977, but decided I wanted to start a family.
So instead of going into the counseling field
I stayed at the Post Office where my husband and I
still work. Working part time there allowed me to be
home with the kids when they were all little.
I have 30 years there and he has 28. I work on
computers in the Retail Department for our District.
My main job is to keep track of the revenue made from
Postal Vending Machines that you find in most lobbies.
I have taught stamps collecting to children.
Our work sponsers 3 schools and provides a complete
Christmas for over 40 families each Christmas.
We really encouraging people to purchase the
Breast Research Stamps because to date, 23.5 million
dollars have been collected for Research.
I love to read, but my time on the computer seems to take
up more time for the moment. I am currently reading several
books and you can read about it at my Reading Room.
I also love to listen to music.
