Today's Saying: Happy New Year!

It's almost midnight here and I am actually so sleepy, I don't know if I can make it. The boys and friends went out and I am not sure what time they are getting back. Renee is at a sleepover with friends down the street and Renee took lots of candy with her. I got a lot done again today and my hubby actually got to park the car in the garage! We went out to dinner at a new South West palce called Rogrigos. The food and atmosphere was great. But then I saw my ex brother in law there with his fiance. I was not happy. But life goes on and my sweet sister is doing well and working on her masters. I am so proud of her! It seems funny watching the NY party without Dick Clark. Well I am going to leave now with this. Father God, I pray that you watch over my friends on the net. They have been a blessing to me. I pray for the people of Indonesia. Help us to remember how blessed we are just to own a computer. Thank you Lord. Amen!

Todays Saying: Getting things done, working on resolutions.

I just love the cute little angel above. She says what one of my resolutions will be this year. To say nicer things. I love primitive raggedys. When Andrew moves out, I will moce my dolls to his room along with my computer and craft table. I have been busy packing up my tons of Christmas decorations. Then the boys will set up the weight set. So another one of my of my resolutions is to get healthy. I start the 3rd but meanwhile I have been bad. What's that about keeping a hand over my mouth. I think I will add that graphic to my Healthy pages! Well I am off to do some more work. Have a great day! Hugs

Todays Saying: My mind is so busy but my body wants to relax.

My daughter and I went to the movies today and we saw the Meet the Falkers and it was so funny! Then we went to Target so she could spend her gift certificate on a new purse. I think she has more than I do now! Then we went to SportsMart to get our StepKit and Video set and a few weights. 3 pounds for me and 5 pounds for her. They boys will be converting the garage into a weight room and we plan to get our things ready to. With the wedding just 5 months away, it is time to get in shape. So now more junk food after Jan. 3. Before we fix up the garage, I have to get the Christmas stuff put away so I took down our village. That table will be my scrapbooking table. I am also working on a web page for that. I need to get some pictures up first. I won't start the scrapbooking until Christmas is done 'cause I know it will be addicting. Well I am off to pack up some snowmen. Hugs

December 27 2004
Todays Saying: Getting important things done.

Well the first important thing is sleep and I got 12 hours! Then I had a nice long bath. I had some weird dreams and it could be a CSI movie. Maybe it is from all the tamales I have eaten! I won't be eating them after the New Year. Then it is diet time, or actually healthy eating time. Time to bring out the South Beach diet cookbook. My husband and I went to the new bank that opened by our house to open a new account. Nice to have it so close by. I got a lot done today! Changed sheets and got laundry done, got bills paid, and worked on my blog. Tomorrow I hope to get to the movies with Renee and get some Christmas items packed. I have a lot so it will take me the whole week or longer depending on how I feel. I won't start my scrapbookig until I get certain things done around the house. So what is everyone doing for the New Year? I am not sure, but a quiet evening at home if fine with me. Hugs

Todays Saying: A Day of Rest

Well kind of... we slet in late and then went to church. We went to lunch at Sizzlers and I always enjoy the salad and soup bar there. Then we picked up a few things at Savons. We also checked a few Hallmarks and they are all out of the Jingles snowman/dog. So I have gone to Ebay for my first time. I really thought I would get it from one of the kids. We had to come home and box up things from the garage sale because a big winter storm is coming in. I just hope it is gone by Thursday with my cousin Joanie.

December 25 2004
Todays Saying: Merry Christmas!

I just came back from spending Christmas with my family. The whole day waw just great! We slept in until 10am and then had our tamale breakfast. Daniel came home at noon from work and we oepened up our gifts. Then I enjoyed a long hot bath. Then we left to my cousin's joanies and exchanged gifts. Then it was off to Temecula to my sister Terry's house. My whole family was there. We had a great dinner of prime rib, red potatoes. asparagus with hollaindaise and bernaise sauce, corn, green beans with toasted onions, salad, rolls. We had cheese cake with fresh raspberries for dessert and banuelos and Mexican hot chocolate. We get the best of two worlds when it comes to food. My brother spoke before we ate about how blessed we are that our family gets together and we love each other. How we are blessed because as Christians, we can be with each other now and and someday in heaven. How God gave us the best gift with His son Jesus. And he said the same thing that Pastor Jim said to us last night. The best we can give God is ourselves. Later we shared special memories of when we were kids. It was nice sitting around the table sharing. I am so blessed. My family means so much to me and I thank God everyday for them.

December 24 2004
Todays Saying: Merry Christmas!

Everything is set for Christmas. I am getting ready to leave for our Christmas Eve service and then it is off to my inlaws for a tamale dinner. We open our gifts here in the morning. Then later we go to my family's and have prime rib dinner. God bless you and and your family. Hugs

December 22 2004
Todays Saying: Time is flying!

I have been so busy these past few days. I did some last minute shopping today and am done now. I made it to Bible study and it was great! Tomorrow I will be delivering Christmas presents and cleaning house and that is after I work my 6 hours. I plan to start at 6am tomorrow and will have to be out the door at 5:20. If I don't make it bake I want to wish everyone a wonderful blessed CHRISTmas and remember Jesus is the Reason for the Season. Hugs Hugs

Todays Saying: 1 week to go!

Check out my Family Christmas Site. There are over 20 pages there in the Chrisitmas section plus a decorate a Chrsitmas tree page. Well I am all done with my Christmas shopping! My daughter made a trip to the mall and I found most of what I needed at JC Penny. I just have presents to wrap. My dining table is covered with wrap, presents and so on. I will work on it tomorrow. I will be having lunch with two of my friends. We go every year to have lunch and exchange gifts. Speaking of gifts, I got this cute siggy from my friend Tera. I have also received several gifts from other friends that I will put on a page soon! Hugs

Todays Saying: Walking with the Shepherd keeps me focused.

The days are busy as Christmas approaches. The house is decorated and there will be no rush to put it back afterwards. I am still working on my study of Psalm 23. The Lord is always with me. That gives me lots of peace. I plan to post the study on my website when I am done. Well I am making a few gifts for Christmas and I need to get back to it. Have a great day and send some cooler weather our way. This 80+ is to warm. Hugs

December 11 2004
Todays Saying: Busy but happy weekend

It was over 85 here today. Great weather for being outside. The past few days Renee and her friend Kaitlan got ready for their garage sale. Today was the big day and they made over 100 dollars. They got a name from the Christmas tree at church to provide a gift for a child. I am so proud of them! I took them to the store and they chose the items and still had a little spending $ for themselves. Last night and this everning my husband and I went to Christmas parties and we had a real nice time. The first party was Friday with the ladies from the Women's Ministry board and the hubbies. Then tonight it was for our married group of 4 couples. Then we came home and we were all wrapping presents for the kids we had chosen. Andrew had a 17 year old boy, Marina had a 6 year old girl and I had a 13 year old girl. So tomorrow we turn in the gifts. What a blessing to see how my family is so giving and thankful for the many blessings we have. Thank you Jesus for my family and friends! Hugs

Todays Saying: A new refrig, a new study

I am writing with sleepy eyes here. I was off work today for the delvery of our new refrig. We got a titanium faced, traditional one, with the freezer on the top and the refrig on the bottom. No more side by side were nothing fits right. My daughter and I had dinner together and then we stopped at Mervyns and I found my moms Christmas present. Then we went to Bible study and we began a new study in Exodus, the 2nd book in the Bible. Exodus is where you find the story of Moses and the 10 Commandments. So how did the Jewish people get there? Some 300+ years earlier, Joseph with the coat of many colors was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers. But when the brothers and their family were starving, they went to Egypt for food. They end up talking to the head guy of food and 2nd in command which turns out to be Joseph. To make a long story short, Josephs whole family moved to Egypt. Somewhere along time, a new King took over that did not know Joseph. Because the king was afraid of the Jewish people who had grown in great number and were strong, they put the appointed the Egyptians to oversee and oppress the Jewish nation. Well I am off to bed. Have a great day.

Well back to the movie with the family. Hugs

Todays Saying:Cold weather and request for prayers.

I everyone, it sure has been cold here for So CA. The news says that besides the cold weather, heating cost are expected to jump 15-30%! Oh well, we will have to bundle up. Ok now for the prayer request. I have a friend at church who has stage 4 cancer. It does not look good, but her faith is strong. So if you could please pray. Her name is Trena, single mom with 2 kids. Her daughter will be in my sons's wedding in May. Then my hubby just dot diagnosed with diabetes and we will have to make some diet and exercise changes. It will be good for both of us. Ok, thanks, I am off to take Renee to her girl group and do a little shopping. Hugs Oh isn't this a cute siggy. That was me putting up lights around the window.

Todays Saying: Wonders to think about?

It was a beautiful day today. Just real cold for So CA. As I left work this morning to head to Anaheim, I saw that the planes were taking off the opposite direction because of the wind. As I foolowd the path on the freeway, I watched how the planed turned to my right and went higher off towards the east. I thought that it is still a wonder that those huge flying machines can get off the ground. I had such a fear of planes for such a long time. Once I gave my fear to God, I was ok. I laughed when I thought about my first flight to Las Vegas, 45 minutes away. I was seated opposite and I went up backwards and I exclaimed"Oh this is better than Star Tours!" The people on the plane were laughing at the 40 year old novice. Star Tours is my favorite ride at Disneyland and it is actually a simulated ride using movement felt in the seats, specail sounds effect and scenes from Star Wars. But it really works to make your mind think, I am in a space machine. Now, speaking of Disneyland, I was there today. I met a vending tech, at the Anaheim Main Post Office and he took me to Disneyland and Califronia Adventures. We did stop at Main street and I got a picture of the tall Christmas tree. But this was business so I took lots of pictures of the vending machines at the park. I got to see a lot of the behind the scenes at the partk. Employees ariving and picking up there cst uniforms, food booths and shelves getting stocked. Main street was so quiet in the early cool morning. Thankfully I had my long coat on. Ken also showed me several machines at the local hotels and the Grand Californian is just beautiful! I would love to stay here someday. While Ken serviced a few machines, I was able to get a few Disney ornaments. I hope to get my fild developed in the next few days to share. Well I am off to fill some adoption orders. Have a great week. Hugs

Todays Saying: I am finally back!

Well I let my domain expire and it was kind of crazy trying to get it back up. Jana, was very helpful and she taught me some new things. Thanks Jana for your help. Well So Ca is having a cold snap. The 30's can be dangerous in the central vally for the crops. Tomorrow I have to be at Disneyland at 8am for business so I took out my long coat. Well since my site was down, I was able to work on my family site where our Christmas site is. I have added new adoptions at Cottage Gardens and updated my homework page. I have a Build a Snowman at the link to the right. Well I am off to get ready for work. Hugs

Todays Saying: Enjoying a cold fall day!

Last night a cold wind, lightening, hit hard last night. It left snow is our Corona moutnains! We rarely see it around here. From my house I can look out towards the peaks of the moutains that border us and I have seen fire there and now snow. It is cold here- 50 degrees for daytime is cold for us here in So CA! It has been a nice day. I took down most of the fall stuff and our new tree is up now. It really is nice. We hope to decorate it Tuesday evening. I work Monday and Tuesday and then I am for the rest of the week. We will be going to my sisters house in Temecula for Thanksgiving. Well I have changed over my pages as you can see and am excited about the holiday season. Well I am off to make dinner. Hugs!

Todays Saying: Enjoying a beautiful fall day!

I had a great day today. I got to sleep in and then I took a long hot shower. I prefer a bath, but I was in a hurry to get to my cousin's Joanie's house. We went to a Christmas boutique at a church and then we stopped at a scap booking store. We got some lunch and then went to her house, put Christmas music on and worked on our Christmas cards. It's our tradition and we are way early this year. I started taking down my harvest decorations inside and will take down the outside stuff on Wed. The weather was cool and breezy. I like seeing the leaves moving along the street. It remind me of when I was a child. We picked up our new Christmas tree on Friday and the boys will set it up for me. We wait until we are all together to decorate. I am getting ready to get this blog ready for winter next. I have a decorate a snowman link below, check it out. You get a prize when you do :) I am off to upload some winter siggies. Have a happy Sunday. Hugs

Todays Saying: PMS drives me crazy!

I can tell that I am pms. I am irritable and tired. am going to take a hot bath and get to bath early. I have decided to finally start scrap booking and I am sad to say that lots of the pictures I put in the photo albums from the 70's have yellowed. I am taking them out and putting them in envelopes until I can get to them. I have been getting my supplies together and hope to start soon. Luckily everything is in order with dates and events. So that will help. I did 1976-1977 today. I plan on doing another album tomorrow. This is just taking the pictures out of the old albums. They kind of stick so I have to do it carefully. I also am going through things I bought after Christmas last year that I plan to give for Christmas this year to my co workers and a few friends. All really cute things too. This is a new cute siggy I got from my friend Nancze. Thanks Nancze!

I can't believe how fast the time has gone. I just realized I have been blogging for 2 years now. Wow has the time gone by fast. One of those meals will be shredded beef tacos. I will show Renee how to make them even if she is a vegetarian. Well I am off to bed. Have a happy Sunday.

Today Sayings: Thank you Lord for the Rain
Please keep people safe too!

Another storm is here and because of the past fires, there are flash flood watches. I drive in with my hubby and only have about 3 miles to drive from his work to mine. I work in an office and he has to deliver mail so he gets the worst of it. I have to wait for him for up to 4 hours when he has overtime so I sometimes stay at work. I also brought my stichery and beading and Bible studies. I have to keep myself out of the stores unless I am Christmas shopping. We are meeting with our financial planner to go over our additional insurance and savings. Now that my hubby is 50 (as of yersterday) we really need to make sure we are set to retire in 5-10 years.

Today Sayings: Enjoying God's creatures of the sea.

Today my daughter Renee and my cousin Joanie and I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific The weather was nice and we spend a few hours looking at the sea animals. I never new there was so many varities of jelly fish or groupers. We got to pet the manta rays, sand sharks. We saw the seas and sea lion perform. I really enjoyed the antics of the otters. The food is great and the atmoshephere is so cool. Remember the movie Forrest GumP? Remember Forrest had a friend in the war named Bubba and they talked about shrimp fishing. Well this is the restaurant that is all based on the move. They had costumes from the movie like the soldiers uniform that Forrest wore and his yellow suit. Remember how he played ping pong? Well the drink and desert menu is on a menu shapped like a ping ping paddle. The wooden tables have the sayings of Forrest like "my mama says" Tera, there is one at the Mall of America! Well now my husband wants to go so maybe we can take him there for his birthday on the 25th. He is turning 50! I met him when he was 18 and I was 17. Wow had the time gone by. Today Sayings : It's been a long week but I am ok.

My job has kept me real busy this week and having PMS has kept me real tired. Mentally I am doing ok, just trying to get rest where I can get it. I started a new book yesterday about promises of God based on the 23rd Psalm. It is by Elizabeth George. Today I was reading on faithfulness and getting information from the dictionary. They I was reading the book and it was confirming what I had read. I get excited when things like that happens because I know God is talking to me. Well I need to get my clothes ready for work. Oh my manager asked if I was willing to travel to a meeting for vending coordinators and she said since I am our district's coordinator I should go. I said yes. Last time I went to our regions headquarters in San Francisco. My director told her I could go and I am excited. It will be sometime in October. Wow God allowed me back to this job and now I am getting to do more. Thank you God! Bye,

Today Sayings : Fall today hot tomorrow.

We had wonderful fall weather this weekend and it will be back in the 90's this week here. I finally decorated my home for fall. I just need a few more leaves brances for my bakets upstairs on the balcony. Sunday my whole family went to lunch to celebrate birthdays for my dad, son, and Jen. Today after a nap I did a little more decorating in the living room. Somehow a baby lizard got in the house and I screamed lizard and then Reina came over to get the lizard. It was funny because she was smacking her lips trying to get it but my husband rescued it and let it go outside. I have been working on my snowflake page so if you have a snowflake, send it to me. Well I am off for now. Have to get ready for work. We have another training session. AF is due and I sure hope it waits til Wed. Hugs

Today Sayings : Where has the week gone by?

The days are going by so fast. The weather has finally cooled off now but that could change again. Our work had meetings for the window supervisore from 9am-1pm this week and I was one of the speakers. The first meeting was at the post office I was sent to last spring and a few people wanted to know if I was coming back. My manager said not if she could help it. Next week we will be doing 2 more trianing sessions. I have been so busy preparing for the conferences. It is faced paces and high stress, but I love it! I bought a few sweaters to wear at the office or church. Today my cousin, future daughter in law and daughter went to this great store to buy stuff for the wedding. My cousin will be making the boutiners for the guys and the boquets for all the girls. She is using silk flowers and they look so real. She also got the flowers to throw the bouquet at the wedding. I don't know what the mothers will wear yet, either dress or wrist corsages. I am not worried about what I am going to wear because I know I will find something after the holidays. The wedding isn't until May, but we will have lots of things done so we don't stress as we get closer.

Sunday Sept. 12 2004
Today Sayings : I'm partied out!

Today was the big party for my son at your house. It went well but I tired now. We had fajitas, rice, beans, salad, fruit salad, chips, salsa and quacamole, bottled water and sodas. Daniel turned 21 the other day. Last night they went to a dance club and he dance 'til his hearts content. My older son and his fiance and two of her friends and her cousin all went and came home late. I asked Andrew how Daniel did now that he is 21. Andrew said Daniel ordered 1 margarita and Andrew just had water. Daniel had to go into work at 4am and asked for tonight off which is a good ideas because he hasn't had much sleep in the past few days. I don't really want my kids to drink, but they are adults. An occasional drink is okay, but with so many young kids drinking, I get worried. Well my main job is to pray for my kids and so I do. They are kids. They don't smoke or do drugs and they go to church on a regular basis. So I would say I am blessed. Have a great weak! Hugs

Today Sayings : Remembering and moving on.

Yesterday at work we had a time to gather and reflect on the anniversary of 911. Time has gone by and time heals. It was so great to see America so patriotic and calling on God. But God wants us to call on Him all the time, not just at times of trouble. Today I am busy cleaning house. We are having a party for Daniel tomorrow and you know how the house had to be perfect fpr company. I showd Renee how to clean the refrigerator. She said they learned how to wash dishes on her foods class. They talked about the importance of keeping things clean. She is in a teachable spirit right now since she has become a veetarian. On a sad note, she went to a football game lastnight and the team her friends play won, but it caused chaos with the students. To make a long story short, police were there and several people got beat up. Renee witnesses her friend get choke hold. hit with billy clubs and all because he was defedning a young boy who was trying to catch up with their group. The man who got beat up is a Christian and goes to my church. His son is on the team that won. Poor Renee was so upset, crying and mad at the police brutality she witnessed. She said a grandma in a wheelchair was yelled at and a 4 year old witnessed it to, all a part of our church group. I am sorry that she had to see that. Sorry to say that prejudice is still alive and it ruined what should have been a joyous evening. Keep them in prayer. Hugs

Today Sayings :

So many lifes were lost here and it is sad. Lifes are lost all over the world for differnet reasons that we do not understand. The only solace I have is knowing that God is still in control. I know that people wonder where God is at times like this and he is there taking the souls of the lost and giving comfort to the hurting. God bless them and us. Hugs

Today Sayings : I need to get organized!

I really need to get back on track with things and that means getting all areas of my life organized. I need to work on the clutter and my finances and my diet. I prayed about it last night and then I got a devotion and it covered these areas. I know when I need to do something because I am feeling stressed. Summer was a bit chaotic with so many things going and part of me just wants to ignore things but that is not good. God is not a God of confusion and He does not want us to be either. So I will start by putting God first and I need to spend more time with Him. I have an appointment with him later today. My daughter and I plan to walk later when it cools.

Sunday Sept. 5, 2004
Today Sayings : Shopping is exhausted!

I took my daughter and her friend shopping today and I am tired and broke. I am so glad I am off tomorrow and I plan to clean my room and closet. I have clothes to get rid of because they do not fit. I am going to give them to my friend Vera for her clothes pantry. It will be in the 90's the whole week and could be hot all of September. So fall does not get her until the end of Oct. Church was so good today and the topic was on backsliding. I have been there and I know that I felt lost and empty and I was blind. I was living in the dark. I am so glad I am at a great. loving church! Well I am off to see a movie with my daughter. Happy Monday!

Friday Sept. 3, 2004
Today Sayings : Plans change all the time.

Well we didn't make it to the event because it was so crowded and we end up going to Knotts Berry Farm. We had a nice time. Today I am on my way to a swim party and potluck with a few friends. I really should stay home and clean house, but that will have to wait! Have a great weekend! Hugs

Friday Sept. 3, 2004
Today Sayings : Going to church tonight!

A few entries ago I mentioned some cd;s I got. One is from the Lakewood Church Praise Group and choir. Guess who I am going to go hear tonight.... The same group at the Anaheim pond. My cousin Joanie and her hubby and my hubby and I are all going. I was reading on the net and found out that the Lakewood Church of Houston Texas is the biggest evanglical church in North America with 30,000 people. I can't even imagine a church that big! I thought ours was big with 1200.
I had to take Reina to the vet today because I closed the door on her foot. I thought I had broken it and I rushed her over. It is real bruised and he gave he a shot of cortisone for the pain, swelling and doggie Tylenol. $80 later we left and he was nice enough not to charge me for an emergency appointment. Well you animal lovers know we would do anything for out 4 legged children!

This is from my adoption shop. isn't it cute!

Today Sayings : Lord bless the women who have breast cancer.

I talked to my dad yesterday and he wanted me to know a family friend was losing her battle to breast cancer. My mom had lost another friend to cancer and I know she is hurting. The only consilation is that they will meet in heaven someday where there will be no pain, no suffering, no crying and new healthy bodies. God bless you Eva. I worked on a Bible study today on Michal, the first wife of King David of the Bible. It's mamzing how much you can learn from doing an in dept study. I need to post the study at my Bible study site. I am still beading and made some simple earings. I love wearing jewlery to match what I wear to work. There is something nice about creating something and just enjjoying it. God blesses us all with special gift and it is our responsiblity to use it to help others. Just having a blog reaches someone, maybe when a friend is needed, an encouraing word shared, or maybe just fun things to enjoy. It's fun to see how blogs change to reflect the seasons. I am a siggy collector and so now for all my fall ones! Hugs

Today Sayings : It's not about me, its about You Lord

We had a special group today called Tree63 from South Africa. They actually live in Tenn. now. They were great. You can read about them Here. Thier song Blessed be the Name is very popular. When they were done they went at sat down next to me. Later I bought a CD from them. So wow, 2 CD's this weekend. I had to take a nap today. Seems like my body tells me to rest and I have to. I have laundry to do and a few things to get ready for now. Here is my Sunday Brunch:

Today Sayings : I love worship and prayer music!

I am listening to a new cd I got today called We Speak to the Nations by Lakewood Live from Lakewood church in Texas. The music remind me of when I went to a church in Hawaii and the music is on fire! So what is onfire? Well the singers and the band/orchestra are really great and this music is about worhiping God. So many times we foucs on us and God help us. But we were created to worship the creator and I know my soul just rejoices in it!
I had my hair done today finally! I sure needed the color, highlight and cut. I feel better now. I also bought some special hair stuff since I am losing so much hair. Part of it is hereditary and some is stress and some is because of my low iron and finally my age. You know your body does not know if stress is good or bad. I love my job. but it is lots of responsibility and there is a certain amount of stress with it. Overall life is good. I thank God everyday for my life. But there was a time when I suffered from depression and life was hard. I mentioned I was talking a lay counseling class in previous post and now the classes are done. The classes were every week for 7 months. My first group begins in January and it will be on depression. I am excited about it. Well it's dinner time to I am off. Hugs!

Today Sayings : I have the Olympic Fever!

Like many of you, I have been enjoying the Olympics. I got to see the opening ceremony from my country club room in Hollister CA. Today Joanna Hayes from Riverside CA won the gold in hurdles. I loved watching her reaction when she realized she won. Riverside is the big city next to mine and I wonder if they will give her a welcome parade. I am way behind in many things since taking so much vacation time. I should have been a teacher to get my summers off! After I got my degree, I decided I wanted a baby and that took another 4 years! Well I only have 6 years left until retirement. Who knows what will happen. I just know I am happy to be able to enjoy my webpages and other hobbies and my involvement with church. Life is not always easy and like most families, we have our ups and downs. but I rest on God's promises. Hugs

Today Sayings : I'm back and it's great to be home!

Between the 1400 miles we drove a few weeks ago anf the 800+ we just came back from, it's great to be home and sleep in my own bed with my little Reina next to me. We got home late yesterday. Today I took pictures to be developed of our trip and Renee's trip to Yosemite. I will be putting them up at my family site over the next few days. I also have 2 fall collections to work with. One is from Mary's Lamb and the other is from Baers Garden. Oh I am looking at a tummy tuck on tv. If I won the lottery, I would have that and a breast lift. I guess I need to play to win! :) Darylynn, I wonder how you make that trip back and forth from the Valley to Huntingtin Beach. Well I know one thing, don't drive as rush hour because no one is going anywhere! It's time to get ready for work and bed. Hugs

Tuesday Aug. 10 2004
Today Sayings : It's my 30th anniversary! today

It is so hard to believe that we have been married 30 years! I was 17 when we met and got married 2 days before I turned 19. I got my BA when I was 21. We got our first home when we were 24 and 24. Our son first son came when we were 26 and 27 after having had 3 miscarriages. I am thankful for the ups and downs that have tried our marriage and because of our commitment we are still together. I am so blessed and I thank God daily! My hubby gave me this cute wooded garden box filled with mixed flowers and roses. I will get his card tomorrow. We put a few flowers into the box with Tinker. I put a red and white bracelet and we buried her next to Lola. Lord thanks that I can grieve when there was a time I only burried my emotions. Thanks for a caring husband who helped me bury our pet and the sons that dug the hole. Thanks for our Reina and all our family and friends. I guess I got my Thankful Thursday today and I feel much better sharing. Hugs

Today Sayings : "Even the smallest animals can youch our hearts"

Our guniea pig is very sick. From reading about it, she will probably die. If I take it to the vet, they will want to put her our and then keep her. I called several places and most vets don't treat small animals and the others are full. Renee wants her burried next to the other one. It is my daughters pet and she is at Yosemite. I feel so bad. Even my dog Reina senses something. I have felt anxious all day and I know part of it is because I did not have enough sleep. I don't want anymore pets after this.

Tinker died today at 6:30 pm and she is missed.

Today Sayings : "Make the most of the best
And the least of the worst"

I heard this saying on the way home from work today. It is by Robert Lewis Stephenson. My husband wrote it down since it was my turn to drive. He loves sayings. Since I love bathing I had the cute Little graphic made and it is an adoptable. My vacation pictures are finally done! We went to the Grand Canyon, Utah and Las Vegas. You can find them at the link Family Vacation. I am going away again next week to a wedding and then a few days to celebrate out 30th anniversary. I have been busy working on my bracelets, stitchery and reading. I am reading several books at the moment. The Zippered Heart by Marilyn Meberg of Women of Faith. Isn't this the cutes siggy, that Charlie made. I loved the Disney movie Snow White. I am not sure about the 7 Dwarfs, but it was a part of my chidlhood. I have been busy working on several webpages. The biggest is the vacation pictures because I don't have a digital camera so I have to scan the pictures after they are developed. I got some of the pictures developed. but not the ones from the beginning of the vacation. They should be ready tomorrow. I am putting them up at my family site and I hope to have them ready to show on Monday or at least most of them. I had to take a break today from the computer and read in the bathtub. Monday July 5, 2004
Today Sayings :It has been a busy and fun weekend.

Church was really good on Sunday. They passed out flag pins that said God Bless America. All the kids got little flags that said the same thing. The church had the flag swag banners and red white ballons were all over the place and some mylar star 4th ballons. My husband and I were greeters so we worse red shirts and blue jeans, me in a skirt and hubby in shorts. Then our family went to Red Robin for lunch. Everyone pitched in. Then I stopped at Joanne Fabrics because the embroidery thread was on sale. So were the 4th decorations so I got white carnation flowers and some red/white/blue/starts and put them out in the front window in the containers there. They will stay out the rest of the summer.
I have been tea dying some muslin for the embroidery I am doing. I am going to make a page all about it. I am looking for graphics now. I see that Graphics by Grace is no longer there and I am real sad to see another great artist gone. I saved lots of her stuff so I plan to use that for my page.
I slept in today because I was up late working on a new web page. We went to I Hop for a late breakfast and we had banana split pancakes. Later we went to look at the bridesmaids dresses and they are very pretty except the price. They are $168 each and I am buying 2. Then we went to see the apartment that Andrew and Marina like. They just finished the 1st phase and they are real nice. They come with black appliances and that includes the stove, micro, washer, dryer and refrig. After stopping at my cousins, we had dinner at Hong Kongs. I feel like I have been eating all weekend! I am off to take my bath. I love baths!

Friday July 2, 2004
Today Sayings is A day to rest is a blessing.

Tera sent me this cute adoption from her shop after we were both talking about our summer plans. I laughed because the bears look so cute in their bathing suits. Then I thought, I am not wearing a suit this summer because I am so heavy. But I love to swim and so I will. I really need to exercise! My Friday fun is posted and you can find it on the link below to the left. I am off to read my devotion and then work on my beads. Have a great day! Hugs

Wednesday June 30 2004
Today Sayings is:I love reading!

I am reading a great book by Patsy Clairmont that I got at the Women of Faith Conference. She was nice enough to sign the book for me. It's all about her life and how she struggled with anxiety to the point she could not leave the house. Now she speaks at conferences in front of 10,000 women. I remember she held up this huge mixture of rubber bands and said that is what happens to our emotions. Here is the picture from the WOF.

Tuesday June 29 2004
Today Sayings is: I love vacation days!

Last night was women's fellowship and it was great. Our women's praise group was great! After the music, the Lord was put this in my heart to share. Oh taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trust in Him! Psalm 38:8 I know the Lord was talking to me, to remind me to feed on His Word daily and be blessed. I slept so good last night and I am off today. We are going to the Chino swap meet and then I need to work on the women's newsletter and woprk on laundry. I am off. Have a blessed day! Hugs

Sunday June 27 2004
Today Sayings is: Can I sleep for a week?

Friday was a fun day at work and then shopping. Saturday I got my hair colored, highlighted and cut for the wedding. I went a little darker and the contrast is great! The wedding was at the Pala Mesa Resort in Fallbrook. It was a beautiful wedding outside with a water fall behind then and the food was great! We spent the night with my sister Terry in Temecula and slept in late. Then Renee and I went shopping at Old Town. I am home now and so tired! There is so much I have to do and I have no energy. Guess I need to take my iron pills and go to bed early. Have a great week. Hugs

Wednesday June 23 2004
Today Sayings is: Plans are moving along

I made reservations for Lake Havazu Arizona tonight. We decided we did not want to get up at 3am to take a straight shot to the Grand Canyon, so we will leave the day before after Renee gets out of summer school. My sister Terryt and her boys will be going with us. One problem, Terry has a test on the 26th and we are not scheduled to come back until the 28th. So pray that the instructor will make an allowance for her or she can reschedule. She needs to take a math test to get into her Masters program in Education. I missed Bible study today. I had a real bad headache when I came home from work and needed to sleep it off. Now I am wide awake and it is almost 10pm. I think I need a hot bath to relax so I am off now. Hugs

Today Sayings is: "Courage is not the lack of fear;
it is acting in spite of it" Mark Twain

I found this at the Triple AAA place while I was getting information for our trip. We are planning to go to the Grand Canyon, Utah and Las Vegas. About a 1200 mile trip. I wish gas prices were not at an all time high. Well back to Saturday... The Women of Faith Conference was great and I got a book signed by Pasty Clairmont and another by Marilyn Meberg. Cece Winans was great and the place moving. We signed up for September 2005! Well I am off to bed to read. Have a great week!

Friday June 18, 2004 evening

Today Sayings is: Feeling Crafty.

Every so often I get in the mood to craft. I gues the creative part of me just wants out. So what am I doing? I am getting my crafts ready to do some simple stichery for gifts. I am also making bead jewlery. I am not into to make money. I am just doing it to give gifts for friends and to relax. And then I am decorating my season tree. I have a small 6 foot narrow pine tree. I got it last fall and decorated it with orage gold ligts, small harvest flora. I placed a harvest cloth around the base and added a few baskets. At Chrsitmas it was the snwoman tree with white lights. In Februy it had hearts, March-June had spring and Easter decorations. So now comes the patriotic stuff. I hope to take a picture to share. So I am thankful to be able to enjoy crafting. To see some of what I have done before, go to my Craft page.

Today Sayings is: Trusting in God is all I can do.

Today was my mediation with my job. Though the talks went well, no clear resolution was set. I will stay for my detail however long that will be. It could be months. At that time I can refile my EEO. The HR manager said that she will go over my profile and see about placing me in another job outside CFS, coomputer forwarding system. They will also try to encourage the Marketing director to re-evaluate the the budget hours to keep me since the Retai Manager says that I am needed there. So it is in God's hand. I will do my job of acting Vending Coordinator for as long as I have it. I am lucky to have a good paying job. Hugs

Today Sayings is: God Bless the President.

I spent a lot of today watching the ceremonies for the President. The very end was the saddest when Nancy leaned over to say goodbye while holding the flag. I cried with her. I did go shopping with my daughter for awhile. We have a wedding to go to in 2 weeks so she got an outfit for that and she had to have jewlery to go with it. We both love that and purses! I also got a new comfortor set for my bedroom. I got some beige and burgundy tulle for the slider. I hope to put it all together tomorrow. I have a lot to do tomorrow so I better get to bed. Hugs

Today Sayings is: Thankful Thursday
1. I am thankful to be a child of God. 2. I am thankul to be back at my job. 3. I am thankful for my family 4. I am thankful for a great church with a great praise band! 5. I am thankful for my friends.

Speaking of friends, my friend Michelle purchased an adoption for my shop and you can find it at What's New at Cottage Garden Adoptions. I found the following at Morning Stetch newsletter I get from Denise Austin and thought it is worth sharing. "Believing you are special and that you deserve to be happy is as big a part of fitness and weight management as exercise and diet. Remember that you are a unique creation—there's nobody else like you! So don't apologize for who you are! Celebrate it! Put yourself in situations where you'll succeed! When you do, you'll not only feel better, you'll stop looking outside yourself for approval, and you'll also be able to appreciate the unique qualities of others. You're spectacular—so don't you forget it!" Denise Austin.com

Today Sayings is: A Time to plan, a time to rest.

I missed church today which I rarely do. I went to a bridal faire with my future daughter in law Marina, her mom Jessica, and my daughter Renee. We hd breakfast first and then headed to Yorba Linda for the show. There was lots of people there hosting tables all the things having to do with weddings. We sampled cakes, and food, heard DJ's, and saw a bridal fashion show. I think the neatest thing was this one jewlery table. I looked in a basket and realized I was looking at a Salvation bracelet! I ordered one to fit my wrist and the Debye, asked what church I went to and if I spoke. I gave her my website and hope to get my bracelet by the end of the week. Afterwards I came home and took a 5 hour nap! I was so tired and decided to do what my body needed. I need to take my iron pills, but they mess all up. Well I need to get ready for work and then read. Have a great week. Hugs

Today Sayings is: Time for a Date.

Today after I picked up my husband from work, we drove to Newport Beach and had dinner at the Crab Cooker. It's a place we went to when we were first dating over 30 years ago. Then we drove down to Balboa Island and road the ferry to Balboa. We walked around looking at houses. Then we went back and walked on the pier. The waves were big and we were thinking maybe because of the full moon. Then we went to the Irvine Marketplace and I had to stop at this shoe wherehouse but I din't find anything my size. From there we took the toll road home and we were surprised to see the freeway so packed. Turns out there was multi car crash that had just happened. There were about 7 cars involved and some were turned around. There was even 3 cars messed up at the offramp. Well apparently from what we herd the guy telling the CHP, the one man was the cause of the car crash and tried to run and the other man went after him and crashed into him. Then we could hear sirens and we got out of the way when the CHP guy left to investigate. I am so glad we made it off in time and we headed for Baskins and Robbins for icecream. Then we went back over the freeway and the police had stopped the whole freeway. What a mess. I pray no one was killed. I am off to bed now. Hugs

Today Sayings is: A restful weekend finally!

I Well lind of. Yesterday I slept in until 10am. Then I took my daughter to get her hair and nails done for the Quincenera she was in, It is a sweet 15 party that is celebrated by some hispanics. I am hispanic but this has not been a part of our family tradition as I was not raised Catholic and being 3rd and 4th generation, we do not practice many things from the hispanic culture except for the food. I sure wish I was fluent in Spanish though. I thought it would be a good thing for my daughter to experience. She plans to take Spanish in school next year and I think it is a great idea! My nephew graduated from Cal State Fullerton yesterday and the family went to celebrate but we missed it. It is hard to be everywhere at once and I knew I needed to be with my daughter.
Church was great today as we had special guest called the Potters Field A husband -wife team. Pam sings and her husband Mike is a potter and they were great. I got 2 cd's after church. Well I hope everyone has a nice Memorial holiday. Hugs

Today Sayings is: God Sleep?!

I forget how mental this job is and though the time goes by fast, I am way more tired than the other job. I get home from work and just want to sleep. I am a night owl and I wake up after about 8pm. At least I can sleep in on Saturday! Ok, I am thankful for a hot bath, a comfy bed, lots of pillow, a great job and I am blessed with a wonderful family. I am off to my class. Hugs

Today Sayings is: A Time to Rest!

The retreat was great and I had so much fun. We had a great speaker that made us laugh. Her stories were great and her use of the Bible with the stories left us remembering that God is in control and though Him we can handle the things that life deals us. I am working on a web page for it. Ihave learned to take the Monday after the retreat off to rest and reflect. The funniest thing on the retreat happned before we got there. I drove up with my cousin Joanie in her new BMW and our friend Cynthia. We were so busy talking and laughing that we missed our turnoff. When we saw the sign that said Blythe, 66 miles, we realized we were way off, as we were 66 miles from the California-Arizona border! Well we got ourselvers turned around and laughed and finally made it to Palm Springs another hour later. We had great weather there. When the retreat was over we went to lunch and shopping. The speaker Jan Coleman said something about getting a hat to mark a season and so we did. I will have pictures in a few days. Hugs

Today Sayings is: Prayers prayed by friends are important!

I started back at my old job in Retail Marketing today and it was great to be back. The time just flew bye. There is so much work to do and I am excited to do what I have been trained to do. Now I have to figure out what to wear everyday and that is the hard part. I need to get to bed early today because I have to get up earlier to get ready. I have been looking for graphics for my veggie homework assignment for Mrs. Daralynn. Well I am off to bed now. God bless you! Hugs

My friend Tera and other friends have been praying over my jo b situation. Well I was told by my manager to report back to my old job tomorrow. This is a detail until I get my new job offer, hopefully to there in Retail Marketing. Wow, I was not expecting it to happen like that. At least I got to say goodbye. Idid some shopping with my daughter and I got a new skirt. I am off to get ready for tomorrow. No more jeans and tennis. It's back to office clothes. Thanks to all who had prayed for me. Hugs

Today Sayings is: Busy Days for this busy Bee!

This was a real busy week for me. I got the bookmarks done and that is always a releif. I had to go back to the Drs because my wrist and shoulder were real bad again and the numbness in my thumb was awful!I am better now but I have to limit my time here. Last night out women's board met and we got our retreat business covered and then we worked on the goody bags. The retreat is the 21-23 in Palm Spings CA. The theme is Celebrate Jesus and we will have lots of ballons for decorations. I went shopping with my daughter today since it was my long weekend. If my mediation goes well, I will be going back to my old job with weekends back. Well I am off now to get ready for our marriage group. Happy Sunday! Hugs

Monday May 10, 2004
Today Sayings is: Dealing with change is not easy.

The women's retreat is just a couple of weekends away and some women have dropped out. I have to make changes to the room assignments when that happens. I had a heachache all day at work. Must be PMS. The Retail specialist called today asking to get me back to Marketing, but the Postmaster said no. He said it is up to Human Resources to give me a new job offer. I have my mediation next Tuesday so I will find out what will happen then.
Ok on the bright side, Mother's Day was great. My whole family met at our favorite Mexican food restaraunt. About 26 of us! I needed a nap to get me through the day. Well I am off to take my daughter to her group. Hugs

Friday May 7, 2004
Today Sayings is: I am tired.

My Dr. called me up and told me that my blood test came back and I am really low on my iron. So she prescribed iron pills and a stool test. Guess she wants to see if I am losing blood internally which could be because of all the anti imflammatory I have been taking. I told her I was losing hair and she said that low iron can do that. Yesterday my friend and I had our mamograms done at the same time... in different rooms of course at Kaiser. Then we went out to dinner and talked and talked and it was good. Then I went to my class and we saw a good video on anger. I have been tired all day and slept in the morning and after work while waiting for my husband. My daughter and I went to get our feet pedicured and that was nice. Have a great weekend. Tomorrow is the 1st Sat before Mother's day that I am working and I am kind of bummed about it because my whole family is coming over Sunday and my house needs to be cleaned. I better get my self to bed now so I can have energy to clean tomorrow after work. Hugs

Today Sayings is:

We had a fiesta today at work. That is party in Spanish. Why celebrate? On May 5, 1862 2000 Mexican soldiers won a ballte again 7000 French soldiers. This happened in a town called Puebla. Had the French won they would have taken more land and threatened the future US. This is not the Mexican independence day which is celebrated like out 4th of July. More American celebrate the Cinco de Mayo day with food and drink. Because I answered the question at work. I received 2 movie tickets. To see some Mexican food recipes. visit my family site Here. Just look for Recipes on the left column.

Today Sayings is: Time to be a honey bee

I am so excited tonight. We have been preparing for months for our women's reatreat and it is jut a few weeks away. Tonight we had a prayer night to cover the retreat and it was just awesome! It was the women's board, the women' prayer warriors and the worship leaders. First we had some worship led by the women who will be leading worship at the retreat. Then we all prayed for the retreat itself. Then we had a candle lit communion . Each board member was served communion and then prayed over. I even got pray over the upcoming wedding of my son. Then I got a word from Danielle. She said that she saw me, as the little busy bee. But she said I needed to be a honey bee! Wow, I have just met her once so she doesn't really know me. Look at my previous saying. She doesn't even know about this blog or that I do the newsletter. I know God is telling me somthing. I need to pray on it but I think it has to do with my family.

Today Sayings is: I have been a busy bee!

The days are going by to fast! Especially now that I work Satudays. Work is niceer on Saturdays because it is more low key. After work I went to the Christian bookstore and bought mother's day gifts and cards. I came home and slept for a hours. It has been very hot, in the 100's! My hubby and I got up and went for breakfast before church. It was our turn to be greeters. Then after church I was busy with registration for the ladies retreat whcih is in 3 weeks. Today we had a tour of our church. It is about 1/2 way done and we got to worship in the sanctuary. It was great. Then Renee and I went to Kohls and did some shopping. We got new bathing suits and stuff to wear for Mother's day. Turns out we will both be in black slirts. I have a pink top and she got a retro 70's look with earing to match. I got myself and ankle bracelet and we are getting our toes done nect weeked. I am headed upstairs to get things ready for work. I need to find some shorts since it will be hot again tomorrow. Hugs

Today Sayings is: Having a prayer is a blessing!

I got this cute adoption from my friend Tera. It is a great comfort knowing that others are praying for you.I am feeling better now so I think the new meds, the icing, the heating and wrist braces are helping. I just came back from having lunch with my cousin. We had a great time over a Chinese lunch of Wor Won-ton soup. We are looking forward to going to the women's reteat next month. Which reminds me, I better get going on the registration. I have new adoption at my adoption cottage under the bug section. Hugs

Monday April 26, 2004
Today Sayings is: Running on excitement feels great!

It has been an exciting few days for me. Church was great and then I met with my board members for a luncheon meeting. We spent about 45 minutes sharing about ourselves and how we came to our church. Then we share prayer request. Then we discussed the retreat and the april fellowship fellowship. I left the meeting at 4:20 and barely made it to the movies to join my daugther, and several other mothers and daughters. We saw 13 gong on 30 and it was a cute movie. It was great. There was one part that they could have done better on. Some guy dancning in his white superman under wear. Lots of the girls said gross!
Work went by ok, considering I am in pain everyday. But I was really enjoying my Avalon cd and keying and singing away. I took my lunch time to finsih my study on patience. It was hot outside and it hit 99 here in So CA! Our lady's fellowship was great and so many new women are coming now. Did we say patience. This is one are the Lord is working on in me. Still a lot more needed!

Today Sayings is: Adjusting to the curves is a part of life.

I made it through another day of work and it was better. I am just concerned about the numbing/tingling I am having in my hands. I tried to open a bottle of pills and I almost dropped them from the numbing pain. If it does not go away in a few days, I will have to go to the Dr's again. I hate missing work but I need to take care of myself. I went to my class today at chruch and it was very good. We talked about boundaries in our life today. Then we saw a video about sexual abuse and rape and Christian counseling. Our Pastor also passed out the guidelines for reporting. Since we will all be counseling, we need to know the law. There are so many things I am learning and some thing I have learned by going through them like depresiion. I am to bed now. I look forward to my evening baths and spend quiet time. Oh, I am thankful for feeling better, for my family, for the things I am learning and for knowing I still have a lot to learn. I still need help in the put foot in mouth area (wink) Hugs

Wednesday April 21, 2004
Today Sayings is: Life is always throwing curves.

I made it through another day of work. I am getting use to the place. My supervisor Thelma was real nice to me, trying to make sure that they were working with me. My friend Clovis went back to the plant with weekends off. She got the graveyard shift, but she wanted that. I have yet to hear what id going on with my case. So meanwhile I am still making friends and keeping a positive spirit. Thank syou Jesus! I hurt alot when we came home and had to take meds. As we were driving home, we got a call from my son. Someone hit our parked car at home and left. This is our 91 Grand Caravan. It could have been worse, but it was just the lower left back part of the car. We will test it tomorrow. I wonder what the car that hit it looks like. There were parts on the ground and fluid and a tell tale trail. I was sad because I missed Bible study, but I decided to change my index page so go check it our if you did not come that way. I am off to read my Bible now. Hugs and blessings

Tuesday April 20, 2004
Today Sayings is: Slow me down Lord.

I was off today and I slept in. Things will be busy the next few weeks with the Women's retreat next month. I have class and I want to be at church. I have meetings to go to and books to read. I need to make sure that I make time to read my Bible. I need to keep my priorites straight. I need to make sure I take the time to keep my self spiritually fit. That might even mean I have to cut back on here. Especially since my shoulder bothers me to much. I am off to a hot bath. I love to read my Bible there. Bye for now.

Sunday April 18, 2004
Today Sayings is: A nap is good!

Church was great today! We had guest singer John Gibson. We had about 40 women sign up today for the women's retreat. So we are around 130. We are going to Palm Springs this year. I am doing the room assignments. I am responsible for getting the ladies in the room with their room mates. The cost of the room is determined by the number of women, 2,3,4. Thank goodness for computers and spreadsheets. I am working on collecting ladybug adoptions and I am having a problem with a script error. My html was ok with the Yahoo editor, but now it doesn't want to work right in the new editor I have. Well I will worry about it later. I am off to bed now. The medicine I take for my shoulder makes me sleepy. Hugs

Friday April 16, 2004
Today Sayings is: Happy Birthday Renee!

Today my baby girl is 15! The time sure flies! She has plans to go with her friends to Downtown Disney after school. Her friend Vanessa's dad will be taking them and bringing them. She has birthday money to spend! I am home today. Seems the medicine I am taking for my aching shoulder does not like my tummy. I did not sleep well yesterday becaue my shoulder hurt so much. In fact they both hurt because I am compensating with my left shoulder. My wrist hurt too so my time is limited on this computer. I missed my Thanksful Thurday but I have so much to be thankful for! Hugs and blessings!

Today Sayings is: Rest and Response

Yesterday was great! Church was so crowded and we were just a few minutes late and ended up sitting in the back. I think around 40 people got saved. Later we went to my sister's house where the whole family met. We all held hands for prayer. Right before the prayer, Andrew announced his engagement to Marina. Then he talked about the true meaning of Easter. Then we prayed. We had steak, cheese pototes, bread, corn on the cobb, green salad, pasta salad, and fresh fruit. Later we celebrated 6 birthdays from Jan. - April. It was a great day.
Today has been pretty nice until my daughter came home from school. Only thing is, she did not go to school. She overslept and missed the bus. She went to her friends house and they waited unil the big sister woke up at 10. They figured it was to late to go then. So they stayed home, just a couple of blocks from here. The thing is, my husband and I were home today and my son. She did not want to wake us up. I told her she should have called regardless because it was a a change in plans and she needed to let us know. So yes I am upset and I told her she had to clean her room completly and no phone today. Well thats it. Hugs

Sunday April 11 2004
Today Sayings is: Happy Resurrection Day!

As a Christian, this is a special day for me. This is the day that Jesus rose. This means that He is alive today. It is because of Him we have redemtion from sin. Sin separates us from God. but Jesus is the bridge to God and eternity to heaven. May God bless you and if you want to know more, email me. After church we will all meet at my sisters house. Have a wonderful day! Hugs and blessings!

Today Sayings is: It is Thankful Thursday !

I just back from a meeting and class. The meeting was to hear a women that might sing at our retreat. She had a nice voice. I left before the meeting was over because I have class on Thursdays. Todays video was on depression. I learned new terms, but other than that, I know all about depression. So as busy as I have been, I am thankful for a car to drive and a home to come home to. I am thankful for my family is understanding about my busy schedule and a hubby that brings Chinese take home and lets me sleep on the way home. I am thankful for the strength that God gives me each day. I am thankful for the job I have and for each day that it gets a little easierworking there. I am thankful for the check I get and now I am thanksful I can remember it is time to pay those bills! Thank you Lord for all.

Today Sayings is: Anticipation is great!

I just came back from a meeting with our women's board and our Senior Pastor and our Pastor of Administration and I feel great. We are a growing church of about 1100 people. We will be moving to our new facility in the late summer/early fall and we are looking forward to more growth. So we are making changes now and I am looking forward to what God has in store for us. I am also glad that we can meet with our leaders as they guide us and prepare us for the step in our journey! I took today off work today to go to the DMV and it was a 2 1/2 wait. I got my temp lisence. Well I have some women's ministry stuff to do so I am off. Have a great week! Hugs

Today Sayings is: Time for rest, time for change

I have been working with Jana of Love 4Country hosting to get my web pages trasfered. Jana has been such a big help. I am home today and I thought I would sleep in but here I am up early. I have a bad cold and my chest hurts. What hurts more is the fact that this mentalpause women left her wallet at the gas station and it was stolen! So I had to spend time calling up the credit cards. Seems to me that I need to get rid of those cards! I was sad because I was on my way to get my hair cut and colored. Thanks to my future daughter in law, I got to have it done. Nothing to drastic.... this time. Last night we had the board meeting at my house and it lasted 4 hours! It was a great meeting and we got a lot done. We are iin the process of planning the Women's retreat.

Today Sayings is: It's Garden time!

Today when I was at work, I was thanking God for my cd player! I am getting use to the job and making friends. I ate lunch in my car while reading Max Lucado's Next Door Savior. After work I stopped at Big Lots and got a garden shepherd hook and a bird feeder with hummingbirds on it. My sons and I are fixing up our front patio. I love to sit our there in the nice weather and read, pray or just listen to my wind chimes. I am in the process of chaning domains, but I have to learn a few things first. Jana is helping me through it and she is great! Meanwhile I will post here. We went to a house warming party earlier and it was so crowded but nice. I was tired when I got there but I felt better when I went outside to eat. I spent a little time talking to Pastor Jim about the changes in my life and we were both excited on how God works in us and then uses us to help others. I am taking the lay counseling class and someday I will be counseling too. Well I better get myself to bed. Have a great Sunday! Hugs

Today Sayings is: I have been blessed!

Today when I was at work, I was surprised to see my old manager of Retail, Karen and my friend Bev whos is the secretary for marketing. They came to give a special achievement award for the work I did as the Vending Coordinator. I got a bonus check of $500, well $369 after taxes. Karen says she is trying to get me back. I will actually go back to the Plant where I came from. That is where the administrative offices are. So even if I don't go back upstairs, I will be back at my home office. I have to wait now to see what happens. Meanwhile I am getting better at what I am going, but I hurt. I really want my weekends off. I am making new friends and that is cool. Today I ate lunch at my break and then I went fast walking at lunch. It felt good to walk and I was less tired the rest of the day though I am ready to go to bed now. I hope to walk tomorrow. Goodnight! Hugs

Monday March 22, 2004
Today Sayings is: It's been a long day!

I went to work for 2 1/2 hours in OC,(22miles 1 way) Then at 11:30 I was off to Riverside for jury duty. That was 38 miles. I just barely found parking and was in court until 4:30. I was hoping they would put me on a case, but they didn't. Then I went home to get Renee and then we were off to our Women's Monday night Fellowship which turned out very well. I kind of blew my diet when I had the chocolate Cream cheese pie on the Oreo cookie crust. I will be walking tomorrow again!

Today Sayings is: I'm a 50's girl

Yes I was born in the 50's! Saturday our church had a 50's sock hop. It was so much fun. I took pictures and hope to add them Tuesday. My son Daniel got best dressed and he went as Danny Zucko from Grease. There was a bubble gum contest, a hula hoop contest and a limbo. I was in the hula hoop contest and I have the sore hips to prove it. We had hot dogs, hamburgers and chips and we each got a bottle of ice cold coke. They made root beer floats for dessert. Church was great today. After church about 15 women went to lunch at the Red Lobster and then we went to see the new Johnny Depp movie. Then we had dessert at Kristy Kreme. When I got home we talked to Andrew and Marina about the wedding and we have a date now! May 14th. God is god! I have to go to work in the morning and call in to see if I have jury duty for the afternoon. I also have Women's Fellowship tomorrow evening and out study is on the Fruit of the Spirit-Peace. I need to get off and pack a lunch. Bye for now. Hugs

Today Sayings is: I am thankful for:

Of course my walk with the Lord. It is so easy to get distracted or discouraged with everyday life, but the Purpose Driven Life says we are just passing by in this world. And I am blessed with my family, church, friends and more. I am so lucky to have a computer and be online. Even though this job is hard on my shoulder and back, I am getting paid well for it. I am thankful for still serving on the Women's Board and enjoyed the meeting with the Pastor and the new book he gave us to read. I love my Pastor!(brotherly love) He helped me to understand about God's grace, He encouraged me and accepted me during a rough time in my life. I am thankful for serving with the past and present group of ladies on our board. I loe my church! God is good, God is great! Hugs

Today Sayings is:Finally Good News!

Hi Friends,I wanted to share some happy news. Today at Bible study, Pastor Jim asked my son Andrew to come up. Andrew said it was Marina's 21st birthday and join him in singing to Marina. So everyone did. Then Andrew a few words, took the ring out if his pocket, got on his knee and asked her to marry him! You could her the whole place get quiet and she was so surprised and crying that she did not give him an answer and he got up and put his arm around her and then them Pastor Jim asked if there was a yes and she said YES! Everyone was happy and some people were clapping. It was so exciting and pictures were taken and congratulations. No date yet.I knew about it, but was still excited and happy!

Today Sayings is:

Hi friends, That bear is me. I have had a few rough days. I think one reason is that I am tired. I came home from work and slept for 3 hours. I was a little sad at work today. I think everything just hit me. I sat there while I was keying listening to my cd and asking God to give me strength to accept this new job. I hate to make mistakes, but the trainer said I was doing weel for my first week. I don't know what I would do without my music. I have to remember it is not about me. The Purpose Driven Life book says our life has a purpose and God will use any situation to work in us to glorify Him. I did meet some women today and it was nice having lunch with them. I look foward to seeing my friend Clovis each day as I leave and she comes in. I should not complain, as I got days ans she got the night shift. Well this bear is going to soak in a hot bath and talk to God. Have a great Sunday Hugs

Today Sayings is: Renewed at Bible Study

Hi friends, I just got home from Bible study. It was great tonight and it was good to be with "family" My throat finally stopped hurting and I could sing. After getting my hours from 9-3:30, they changed my husbands hours. He now starts at 6:30am. So I dropped him off and it only took me 10 minutes to get my po. I drove around the area and finally went to a little coffee shop. I had coffee while I read my text book. Then I had an egg and a piece of toast and read my Bible. I am in Matthew right now. I got to work and put my stuff away and they put me on a machine to train. So now I sit at a keyboard and a letter goes in front of me. I have to key in the first 4 letters of the last name and they last 3 numbers of the address. Then the system reads it and puts on a change of address label. There are all sorts of things I have to read and then enter like if it has return address service or if there is more than one person for an address. It isn't too hard if you know what you are doing. Darylynn, I thought of you as I got a handfull of mailback marked with a red pen that had my errors. The trainer said not to worry, that I would learn. I have to be more careful with my keying. But hey I said I could key, not type! I am so thankful I get a break every hour! The union president is meeting with me tomorrow to help me fill out my paper work on how they handled the whole thing. But I still have peace. I have my music and things are ok. I am off to bed now. Hugs

Today Sayings is: A day of rest

Hi friends, Well I started my new job on Saturday. It was nice to drive without major traffic. It was like starting the job almost 30 years ago. Yes that is how long I have been there. I got my locker and a tour of our section. Let's put it this way. I went from a classy steak house to McDonalds. I had Saturday-Sundays for almost 30 years and now I have split days off. But you know what... I have a job that pays well when so many are losing jobs. I trust in God and I know He is watching over me. I can listen to music so I got lots of batteries today at Sams' Club. So my husband didn't have to buy me a cd player so he bought me Estroven instead! It is a supplement for Premeopausal women. I wake up with night sweats. My son overheard us talking about it and asked if we were still doing it. Can you believe that! I let my husband explain that one. Since I am pmsing, I had to have a polish dog smothered with mustard and relish. They just came back from the video store and guess what I got, a hot fudge sunday from Mc D! See my hubby loves me :) Its been a great day. We finished up the Purpose Driven Life at church and now I will be doing it again in the Sharing Hearts Group. The link is at the right under Bible study. One more thing. I think that the weather forgot spring and went right into summer. It was 86 here today and I wore a dress with sandels to church and I have been barefoot all day. Only in So. Ca! Well I am off to read myy PDL book. Hugs

Today Sayings is: All things come to an end.

Hi friends, it was my last day at my old job today. I thought I would be sad, but I actualy had peace about it and that comes from my heavenly Father. Bob brought his "Death by Chocolate dessert" and everyone came over and I said goodbye to them. I turned in my keys, got a new badge and left my desk clean. My garage is a mess though! 15 years of stuff... plants, pictures, decorations, and so on. Maintenance took my chair along with my friend Clovis chair to send it to the new job. The girl that is doing my job was totally stressed out and she is there just for temporary. I am leaving a high stress job to I don't know what. I will let you know. I am glad I can listen to headphones. God is in contol, not me. Ok, here is that recipe I mentioned.

Death By Chocolate By Bob Lockovich
2 large boxes of chocolate instant pudding & pie filling
3 cups of milk for each box of chocolate.
1 package of Oreo cookies
1 large containers of Cool whip
Make pudding according to directions.
Crush Oreo cookies after placing in plastic Ziploc.
In a large rectangular glass, layer evenly in this order:
Oreo cookies
1 package of prepared pudding
1 container of Cool whip
Oreo Cookies
2nd box of prepared pudding pudding
2nd container of cool whip
Top with the balance of the cookies
Serve chilled. Serves around 15 people.

Today Sayings is: Getting ready to move

Hi friends, Only 2 more days of work. I have taken almost everything home. I will take the last of it home tomorrow. They are ordering pizza for me tomorrow since many will be gone on Friday. Please keep me in prayer so that I stay calm. I have been at that job 15 years and at that Post office 20. Things will be much regimented at the new job. I will have to take my lunch because there is no cafeteria where I am going. I start Saturday. I have had Saturday and Sunday's off for 30 years so this will be an adjustment. Only 6 1/2 years to go! I have been busy scanning pictures of my cruise. I hope to get the pictures up this week over at my family site. I will post the link when I am ready. I think I have a mild cold- sore throat and headache, and I can't take any time off now.So I am drinking and getting rest. The weather is warming up and should hit the 80's this weekend. Well I am off to bed now to do my homework. Hugs

Thursday Feb. 26, 2004
Today Sayings is: I am so excited and thankful about my cruise.

Hi friends, I leave in the morning and I am going with my best friend. She is sepnding the night and we are going to breakfast in the morning. The ship is docked next to the Queen Mary. Look at the award I got for my stamp page I got from my Lady B prayer partner Deborah. Thanks Deb! Well I have to get ready now. Hugs

Today Sayings is: I am so humbled, I am so blessed.

Hi friends, I went to the Passion of Christ a few hours ago and I have a sense of peace. Yes the movie was full of brutality against Jesus. It was the best presentation of what the Bible says about the trial, scourging and crucifixtion of Jesus. The theater was very quiet except the sound of weeping and I was one of them. Mel Gibson did a wonderful job with so many details that without a word, could make the point. I think the part that really hit me was when Jesus and his mom meet as he is going down the path towards Golgatha, the place were Jesus was hung. There was a scene that touched my mother's heart. I won't say it, but it did. And as they were doing the Crucifixion, this midi in the background is what was playing in my mind. The words are below. I could say more, but I think you need to watch the movie yourself

Nails in Your Hands Richard Cimino As performed by MercyMe

The nails in Your hands
The nail in Your feet
They tell me how much You love me
The thorns on Your brow
They tell me how
You bore so much shame to love me

And when the heavens pass away
All Your scars will still remain
And forever they will say
How much You love me

Forever my love
Forever my heart
Forever my life, it's Yours
It's Yours

Today Sayings is: A few days of rest is great!

Hi friends, it has been a relaxing evening for me. I love when I can come home and put on my sweats and play on the computer. See the cute adoption I got from my Country Blessing bud Jana! I did my Bible reading and studying earlier and even got a nap in the car while waiting for my husband. I am off to read some more before bed. Hugs

Today Sayings is It was a great weekend

Hi friends, the 50th wedding celebration turned out so nice. I am glad that it is finally over. Months of planning and all that goes with it is over. Last night we all had a chance to share. One thing that was said was how my mother in law Movita almost died a few years ago from high blood pressure and kidney failure. But God had plans for her and and celebrating the 50th was a testimony to God and His love for families. I hope to get a page with pictures at my family site. Today after church, we went to lunch with friends. Then I did a little more shopping for my trip. Then we went to a 50th surprise birthday party at church for my son's future father in law. There was food and karioke. My husband and I left early because we were tired and missed Reina. We are all home now watching a special on the Oscars. We are going to see the Passion of Christ this week. Most of the showings in our town are already sold out.Well I am ready for bed. Have a great week!

Friday Feb. 20, 2004
Today was day 5 of Treat Week

I went in to work at 6:30am again and came home by 11:15am. I read my email and then went to bed for 3 hours! I guess I am just tired from the early hours and the night sweats I have been having from the perimenopause. I need to read up more on it. My son cooked some sirloin and I ate it with the salsa my husband made. Well tomorrow is the 50th wedding anniversary for my inlaws and it will be raining all day. But regardless it should be nice. I missed my Thankful Thurs. I am thankful for my men that cook, a warm comfy bed and my little Reina who snuggles with me. For my church, my family, friends and my relationship with Jesus Hugs

Thur. Feb. 19, 2004
Today was day 4 of Treat Week

I went in to work at 6:30am. I took a few more thing home today. I stopped by the cleaners to pick up the skirts and they said they can alter the shoulders of my dress if I can get the top in my 6pm. Todays treat was a 3 hour namp! contentAnd my husband bought tickets to the Passion movie for Monday. I am off now to drop the top and head to my counseling class. Back form my class. Tonights topic was on forgiveness. I came howe to my final treat. My huby made fresh homemade salsa and I get to take some to work for our potluck. Hugs

Wed. Feb. 18, 2004
Today was day 3 of Treat Week

I went to work real early today because my husband is off this week. So I got to come home early. So what about treat week. I decided I wanted to cut my hair and I called my hair lady Frances and she had an opening for me. Once I get it in my head to cut my hair, I don't like to wait. It is so much easier to wear it shorter, especailly since I have to color it more often. Then I have been having these nights sweats associated to perimenopause and it will be much cooler for me. So that was my main treat. I stopped by Target and decided to treat myself to some new mascara and a eyelash curler. I went shopping amd hubby is making dinner, treat 2. My son will be taking me to BIble study tonight and I have missed several do to illness. I am looking forward to going. I got a letter today from my pastor and he wants me to be a part of a new prayer team he is putting together. Only thing is the meeting is on the Sunday I will be on my cruise so I called the church to let them know. We will see. Time for dinner. Hugs

Tuesday Feb. 17, 2004
Today was day 2 of Treat Week

It was a pretty good day. This was my last vacation day and my husband and I went to see Cold Mountain at the movies. I only had a handful of popcorn and a few gummie worrms. After wards I treated my husband to dinner at the Market Broiler. Then we went to David's Bridal and they exchanged my tight top for the next size bigger. Now I will be able to breathe! Then we went to the Ontario Mills and I treated myself to 3 bras at the Penny Outlet store. We drove by Krispy Kremes and I chose not to get any donuts. That is not a treat for me, but a treat for my diet. Ha! Next weekend I go on my Baja Cruise on Carnival Cruise Lines. This will be my first time. Most of this cruise was paid by a bonus I got at work. Well I have to get back to making bookmarks for my inlaws 50th wedding anniversary which is this weekend. Hugs

Monday Feb. 16, 2004
Today was day 1 of Treat Week

I was off today because it was a holiday for me and my daughter. I got up and had some oatmeal and then after checking my emails, I went back to bed and didn't wake up til after 12:00! It was great sleeping in. Later, my daughter and I went shopping. I got several new things for my cruise. Figured I deserved a few thing and they were all on sale and that is a treat! The things my daughter picked out were also on sale. Then we had lunch at a place we both agreed to and that was great. But my biggest treat was my candle light bath. I love to read in the bath when the house is all quiet.

like this when I grow up!

I got this cute graphic from my friend Deborah. She is my prayer partner for the month of Feb. for Lady's B's Bible study. I got a cute graphic from Jana too who is my Country Blessings buddy. I need to make a gift page. I spent some time today in the bath reading and praying. Yes praying. God says we can come to Him anywhere. I feel calm today. I actually cooked and enjoyed it! I made tuna noodle casserole with grated cheese and mixed veggies. It is just me and hubby today. We are going to get caught up with our Purpose Driven Life book after dinner which I better go warm up!

Today's Saying: I am holding on. The Human resources people called me in today and told me I was going to central forwarding system, 8-12 pm at night. I told them that I can't work nights because I carpool with my husband and that it saves the strain on my shoulder. They said that they could only give me the voice recogntion job at that night. Then they asked if I could key and I said yes, that is what I am doing now. So they they said that made things look better. They asked how many hours I was working and if I would be willing to go from a 4 hour postion to a 6 hour position and I said yes. Well now they are going to see if they can get my hours changed so I can still carpool with my husband, Now the bad part. It is split days of. Sun Mon. Sun Tues, Sun Wed and so on. Well I will do it for days but not nights. So keep me in prayers that they it will work for me. I don't want to be away from my family at night. Please keep me in prayer. Thanks

Today's Saying: Thankful Thursday.

Friday Jan. 30, 2004 Evening Post: Servants Banquet

I just came back from the Sevants banquest and it was a great time of fellowship. Each year it grows as the church grows. It is the one time a year were we get to get dressed up. There are so many areas of ministry at our church. I am in the Women's Ministry and Recovery Ministry. My husband and I also greet. All the pastors were there to greet everyone as they walked in. We are a "huggy church" so everyone was hugging. Then we found a table which happen to be right in the front this time. The banquet was held at the Eagle Glen Country Club and everything looked so nice! After a time of welcome and worship and prayer, we got in one of the two buffets for dinner. We had Cesar salad, rolls and a thing Italian crunchy bread, pasta, veggies, chicken and roast beef. There were an assortment of desserts to choose from. Then we had the guest comedian and we laughed and laughed. Then the pastor went up and thanked all of us. Then he shared a story about we being the light of the church. Each of the took a lighter and went to a person at the table to light a candle. Then everyone passed the candle to light other candles and then the main candles were lit. This started from the front to the back and the room lights had been turned off. The Pastor mentioned how one little light was not enough but important. But all the candles working together lit the room. I was thinking about whai I had just read in the Bible in Matthew 5:14-16 Jesus said, "You are a light that gives light to the world. A city that is buildt on a hill cannot be hidden. And people don't hide a light under a bowl. They put it on a lampstand so the light shines for all the people in the house. In the same way , you should be a llight for other people . Live so that they will see the good things you do and will praise your Father in heaven." This is what we are studying at Lady B's Bible study. There is so much to say here, but the main thing is this. Our candles, our light, comes from Jesus. "Jesus said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness." John 8:12. We ended with a couple of songs and a closing prayer. Then the lights came on a we got to take the pillars home. Everyone stayed for about 30 minutes or so to chat. God bless you and hugs!

Friday Jan. 30, 2004
Today's Saying:

Well things are happening at work concerning the job. But since I am home, I have not heard what will happen to me. So this little adoption says it all. I am reading the purpose Driven Life again by Rick Warren and I know that everything is in God's hands and for His purpose. Tonight is the Servants Banquet. 2 years ago I received a "fun award" of being the 12 step internet consultant. Hey that doesn't sound to bad does it! Hugs

Today's Saying: there is good and bad side to pink eye.

Yes I have pink eye now in both eyes. The left eye is getting better but the right eye is starting. I went to the Drs yesterday for a checkup and she ordered drops. That was after my 14 hour fast for my blood test. The first 2 prescriptions were rejected because of allergic reactions and finally this other one worked except it was a name brand and more money. $25.00 for this 3 inch bottle, but hey it works and it could be more without insurance! So by the time I got to eat it was 16 hours later from my last meal. I was suppose to go back to work on Wed. but work does not want me back if I am still at the contagious stage. So I get another day off work. I get 4 hours of sick leave a day since I am part-time and I could be working 6 hours. So I will lose some money but get the rest I need and catch up with my laundry. Well I will get some rest. I have added several new adoptions so check out my adoption cottage. Hugs

Sunday Jan. 25, 2004
Today's Saying: A day of rest and a start on purpose.

It has been such a busy week for me! Friday was my counseling class and we discussed children of divorce. Friday I had a Dr appt. and now I need to get my blood test and mamogram. Friday evening I helped my friend decorate for her 25th anniv. Saturday morning my daughter and I went shopping for a dress for me and something for her to wear. She got black pants and a burgundy top. After trying on several dresses, I found one I really liked. It was $94 on sale for $69. Then it was on sale from the sale and another 15% off and I got the dress for $15.00!!!! It is long with a slight ruffled bottom and had beading througout the dress. I will taking this dress on my cruise next month. The wedding and renewal was real nice and we had lots of fun dancing and taking pictures and eating and dancing! Our pastor loves to dance and he was making us all laugh. Yes we can dacne and have fun and we didn't have any alcohol. They had some great tea and I drank a lot! Today we started the Purpose Driven Life at church so I am off to do my reading. Have a greaqt week!

Hugs!

Today's Saying: Pray brings peace.

Hi friends, Well the rumors are flying around at work and it sure is unsettling. I could just feel that cloud dropping down on me. I wanted to just come home and go to bed. But I went to Bible Study instead. I had planned to go and thought I should just pray in a hot bath, but my husband actually said he would go. So I went and when the pastor asked if we needed prayer for something that was weighing down our hearts, I went up. My friend Stephanie prayer for me and I felt so much more better. It is in God's hands and whatever happens, He will be there for me.Hugs

Today's Saying: I need more hours in my day.

Hi friends, wow I can't believe it has been so long since I last blogged. I was very busy this past week. Saturday was our Women's Day conference at church and it was great. I made the center pieces for it during the week and we will use them each month that we are studying the fruit of the Spirit. But before that, I went to Bible study on Wednesday and Lay counseling class on Thursday and decorating the hall on Friday. So you can see how I have been busy. I also worked 30 hours this week. I am also changing some of my web pages. I have a new look at my Adoption Cottage and my home page. I have also joined the latest addiction of Stamp Collecting! Well I am off to read my Bible so have a great week! Hugs

Today's Saying: I am depending on God

Hi Ladies, Just when things get on track in life, something come to throw us off. Well that is what is happening with me. I work for the Postal service which is going through a major reorganization. It is possible that they will be taking me out of my current job and placing me somewhere else. I am an injured employee and the job I have meets my restrictions. If I get another job that meets those limitation, then fine. But I do not want this job change to disrupt my family and church life. They could move me to nights and change my days off and I am worried. But the Bible says put all your cares on the Lord because He cares for you. So that is what I am doing. Your prayers woud help too. Tonight I started my counseling class. This is to prepare us to be lay counselors. I walked in the church office and smiled as I saw the two tables set with large notebooks and the video display out and the teachers podium set up. Ok Darylynn any pointers for me? Hugs

Today's Saying: I am back on schedule!

Hi Ladies, Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I am back at work now. It was a busy day for me. Our women's ministry is having a 1 day conference to kick off our new Bible series on the Fruit of the Spirit. I am in charge of the centerpieces so I was out looking for things. Michaels had the ivy center rings on sale, regular $2.99 for $1.49, I got 16 of them. I had all this fruit stuff in my basket and I thought is was on sale. Turns out that the $2.99 and $1.99 stuff was on sale, but not the $2.29 stuff that I had. Well I was not real happy, but wasn't the sales guys fault. I decided not to get things unti, I checked out a few other place. I found the ivy jars for .77 at Walmart, they were .99 at Michaels. Th grapes were $1.99 at Walmart and $2.29 at Michaels. I even found berries at Walmart so I was quite pleased. I will go back to Michaels to get just the mini pears. So instead of making each bowl for $6.50, will be making them for $5.00. Then they will be give away gifts the day of the event.
M counseling class starts Thursday and I picked up my first book on Sunday. The schedule is in the book, 2 chapters from the book and Proverbs Chapters 1-14. So I am off to read. Everyone have a great week! Hugs Hugs

Today's Saying: Just a few more days of vacation.

As many of you know, I am a student of Darylynns' Homework. I have already finsihed my January assigment on Resolutions. I know that I have to get back on schedule because I go back to work on Monday. It is not a bad things. I like my job and the time goes by fast while I work on the computer with my spreadsheets and phonecalls to my vedning people or Postmasters. I will miss being able to staying up all night and sleeping all morning. Yes I am night owl! The house is quiet, and I like it like that. Everyone is tired from our little trip to Downtown Disney-Anaheim CA. When the traffic is good, it takes about 25 minutes to get there. It is an area outside Disneyland that has lots of shops and places to eat. I loved the Department 56 store and thought of Darylynn while in there. Of course I had no $$$ to spend since it all went to Reina, but oh well it was well spent on my little doxie baby. While we were there we got to here this fantastic violin player and I did get his cds. I was going to get a digital camera, but that has to wait, so I at least had my trust Cannon and will have lots of pictures to share soon. Well I am off to bed now. Hugs

Another cute gift from Iara, we both love snowmen.
If you do, visit her adoption shop and meet Willie.
