Country Birds

I love to see birdhoueses! They are something have in my
garden because of the good memories I have about birds
and the many memories with my grandparents.

I can still remember how fascinated I was with my grandma's
bird house. She had this large room that was covered with
chicken wire. And inside this room there were branches and
bird toys for the birds she housed in there. And in various
spots there were birdhouses my grandfather had made for the
nesting season. There were many feathers on the ground.
My grandma told me the mothers would pluck the soft down
undercoat to line the nest. There were parakeets, finches
and canaries. I especially liked to hear the finches sing.
And when my grandma talked to them, they got louder.
I wanted to go in that room, but only grandma could go
in there and tend to her birds. They new she would feed them.

I remember one day Grandma talking to the birds and they
were chirping and singing away. I was sitting with my
grandpa on a blanket and eating a taco and asking him why
the birds were so loud. Grandpa said they were singing to
the Lord. He said that they were happy because God took
care of them. The birds had no worries. God made them
like He made the stars in the heavens and me and you.

In the Bible, Jesus said" Look at the at the birds of the air,
they do not sew or reap or store away in barns and yet your
heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable
than they?" God takes care of those who trust Him.
