My mom and dad celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary July 18, 2008. Because my mom had Alzheimers, she did not want a party when they were married for 50 years. But my dad and we kids wanted to celebrate in a special way. Several years in the past, we would go stay in San Diego at the Bahia Resort. So we decided we would get together again to celebrate our parents and our family. Each family made their reservations at Paradise Point, Mission Bay. My brother arranged for a special dinner night and I put together a video montage to be seen on the last night. These are some of the pictures I took. Mom and dad are both with the Lord now. I have made a special page for each of them and the link will be at the bottom. Family memories are meant to be shared. We are now talking about planning another vacation with the whole family, hopefully for the summer of 2015.

A card for our first Grandparent's Day.

Time for Brunch and a walk of the grounds.

I stayed in the room scrapping while Eddie napped.
After he woke up I popped in his Backyardagains DVD

After dinner we all went back to my brother's suite to
watch the video montage we worked on. Mom was so happy!
She would point and smile and clap her hands in delight.
Dad would share some of his memories. It was a great night!



On Monday the 8th most of the group left but we went to Sea World.
Ann and her family joined us and we also celebrated Daniel's birthday.
