On Freedom

"How little do my countrymen know what
precious blessings they are in possession of,
and which no other people on earth enjoy. "
Thomas Jefferson

All these cute graphics remind me of how lucky I am to
live in America where we have so much freedom. More than
any other nation in the world. The thing that makes me
sad is that so many of us take for granted all that do
we have. And I will be first to admit that I have lived
like this form many years. If we have never been without,
it is hard to appreciate the many wonderful things we do have.

One of the greatest things we still have in America is the
freedom to worship our Father in heaven. We still have a
public place to go to called the church. We have the freedom
to own a Bible. But notice how I say still have. Little by
little, the freedoms our country were founded on are
disappearing. We can't pray in school anymore they way I
use to as a child. In some places, the pledge of alleginace
is being omitted. As a child, we were taught all the patriotic
songs and we were proud of our country. The Ten Commandments
are being removed and along with it the virtues that keep
our country moral and ethical.

But let us not lose heart. We know what we must do and that is
pray for our country. In times of crisis, our country has asked
the American people to pray. True freedom of speech allows us
to write these things from our heart. Each man and woman will
stand before God someday. So when you celebrate this 4th of July,
stop and asy a word of thanks as you enjoy your holdiay of
fireworkds and fun. May God bless the USA!.

the president by praying for him and our country

I first heard Dennis Agajannian sing the following song]
at the Harvest Crusade in Anaheim. I have also heard him
sing at my church. He is one of the fastest guitar pickers
in the United States, maybe the world! The sound is great
and so are the words.

Lord, Give Us America

Lord, give us America We ask for her by name
Lord, give us America Light a fire, fan the flame
Send us out to harvest The amber waves of grain
Lord, give us America In Jesus' holy name

Once a nation under God, so willing to obey
Guided and protected by Your hand
Now we're like a wayward child who's wandered far away
Won't You save this lost and dying land?

Father You can heal this land where hearts have turned to stone
If we'll only bow and humbly pray
For You're the God that set us free and made this land our home
And You're still the Lord of liberty today!
