Thank you Lord. Yes I prayed for my dog to be okay. After all she is one of God's creatures and all are precious in His site. We are being good and not giving into her whining or begging for food. Only the canned stuff the Dr said she could have. You see, too much chocolate damages the pancreas and it takes time to heal. This diet will help her heal. But it sure looks like she is pooping chocolate with nuts in it...gross I know but reality.
She slept all night with me and didn't want to get up until she was sure I was leaving the room. I picked her up and carried her down. One spoiked baby. She wimpered the night before when she jumped off my lap. I think she landed on the leg that had the IV in. We should have gotten doggie insurance on her!
My poor Reina spent the night at the emergency vet because she got into chocolate. We we ate our marriage group gathering and got a call from the kids that Reina had been throwing up dark stuff. When I got home she threw up again and did not look well. So we called the vets and they said a dog can only handle 1 ounce of chocolate per pound of their body weight. We could either watch her oursevles or bring her in. Well we discovered the empty box of Sees candy on the floor next to the Christmas tree. She must have climbed on the chair and leaned on the armrest and nugded the closed box to the ground. We decided to take her in. Reina is like one of our kids and we wanted the best treatment for her. So we left her, poor thing. See the snow family above, see how Reina is included. Then I had to sign papers and pay $250. I had $100 my parents had given me for Christmas and used that. Well I guess my digital camera will have to wait. But Reina is more important! The vet called thig morning and said she was on IV's and doing fine so far. They were going to feed her and see how she does. Bye
I have been in my jammis all day and it has been great! I woke up late and then I even went back for a nap with Reina. We are both enjoying warmth of the fireplace. My Christmas was busy but great. Christmas Eve we went to church and then to my in laws. We had a tamale dinner and then we went to the family room. There we all all shared what Jesus is to us since Jesus is the Reason for the Season. Then we opened our gifts. My son and his girlfriend left to her parents home. I stayed up late tagging people and putting things in the stocking. My son likes to add to it too. We all selpt in til about 10am. We wnet to the tv room and lit the fireplace. Andrew said the Christmas prayer. Then we opened our stocking gifts and took pictures. Then we had breakfast. Then we went to the living room and opened up our gifts. My son Daniel has a sense of humor and he wrapped these 2 large gifts for his sister and brother. He had stuffed the gifts with junk from his room like old tapes and dirty socks. We all had a good laugh and then he gave them checks. The boys gave us a surround sound for our family room. Andrew's girlfriend had stayed the night with Renee and she was happy to get a Bible and tb blanket that we knew she had wanted along with pj's from my daughter. My son got me a new enhanced keyboard and Carol King's Tapesty CD. It was a great morning. After that it was busy busy busy time! My husband had already started the posole. That is a Mexican soup made with meat and hominy and light chili sauce, but not hot. I had already cooked chicken and then showed my son how to make the green chili chicken enchiladas. We also had orderd 4 dozen tamales. My husband and son made 2 types of salsas, red and fruit. Yes a great fruit salsa and everyone loved it! It had rained since Christmas evening and it was pretty bad all day. The wind knocked down my Nativity on the upstairs deck. Traaffic was bad and everyone came in later than planned. But everyone made it safely. I had 3 tables set for the 26 people. Everyone loved the decorations. We all gathered in the family room and held hands as my husband said grace. Then it was buffet style eating. Mom brought rice, my sister Ann brought the beans, my sister Terry brough potato salad, and my sister in law brough the desserts. The food was great. We took lots of picture and I have to take my film to get developed. I should go buy a digital camera with my Christmas money.Hugs
This morning my dad picked me up and we went to visit my aunts and deliver presents. I also gave him his gifts. Last year we had tile down on the whole bottom floor. So we rolled up the family room carpet and I set up 2 card tables. Then we brought in the small patio table and 2 chairs and set that up. Tomorrow I will set the kitchen table for another 8. So I will have enough seating for 26 people. Did I mention I am using Christmas dishes? Pointsettia pattern in the living rooom and snowmen on the other tabkes. Once we are done eating, the boys can take the seating down, put the carpet back and be relaxed. I hope to take lots of pictures to share. Back to work! Hugs
I am finally feeling better and I got lots of things done. But I did take time to take my daughter to the movies. We went to see Mona Lisa Smiles with Julia Roberts and Julia Stiles I thought it was great. When I was in high school in the 70's I wanted to go to an all girls school. But I really did't want to go so far away. I got accepted at a few universities but end up at UC Irvine. It was my parents dream come true and it was close for me. And I was in love so I sure did not want be far from my honey! Well I just wanted to say I am okay. I hope everyone is well! Hugs We watched the movie Sea Bisquit today and it was great. Now I hope I can get my house in order for Christmas! My whole family is coming and I am a little under the weather. Looks like I will have to get to the DR on Monday. I am losing my voice a little, I think from the sinus drainage. Well at least my shopping is done except for the groceries. I did get to have lunch with my friends today, but I didn't really have much of an appetite. I am drinking lots of tea. I did a new page on Mary today. You can find it here Bye for now. Hugs
I am just about through shopping. I have also been fighting sinus problems and it makes me tired. But I am now off work for 2 weeks!!! So I will be able to get a lot down, but mostly I will get caught up in my sleep!Oh and that cute adoption gift if from Kellie, thank you!
Today's Saying is: Hope keeps you going!
Today's Saying is: I'm tired.
Today's Saying is:
Time for Thursday Tattling
Are you feeling stressed? A little
Are your Christmas cards sent out yet? Yes!
How many do you send out? Aorund 60-70
Are some of your gifts wrapped yet? Yes
Tell us something funny that has happened
to you while out Christmas shopping? Nothing so far.
Tell us something that happened that was not so
good while you were out Christmas shopping? Last night
I was buying several gifts and needed gifts receipts.
The first girl rang it all up and forgot to do the receipts.
So she got help but she messes up too. Then they had to
call another girl who finally got it right. Each time
they had to void it all out and start over. Not good
when it is late and you are tired and hungry. Did
someone say stressed? But at least I was not the sales girls!
Today's Saying is:
I just love that blinkie! Happy Birthday Grandma in heaven. I sure miss you. Wow time goes by so fast. My grandma has been gone now 8 years and it seems just like yesterday. I miss her voice, but I have memories. Well I have been busy decorating and when it is done I will take pictures. I got a little book at the Christian bookstore that is from Amy Grant and it has a cd that has Breath of Heaven on it. I love that song! I am off to bed now. Got to get up at 5am! Hugs
I am alway learning new things on the computer. And I am a night person and that is usually when I work on my computer and that is when I make most of my mistakes. Well I was wondering why I had not received any request for my winter adoptions... the link was wrong.I have 31 adoptions there! so here it is:

Today my kids asked what I wanted for Christmas and you know what... I really could not think if anything I really wanted. I have everything I need. I joked and I said that I did not want to work and they said they could not give me that. Oh well, they asked. But really, God has blessed me so much already! My kids go to church and my husband and I have been married for 29 years, through good and bad times. My family is healthy and we are doing well. God bless you! Hugs

We slept in again today and then I made breakfast. Then we painted our master bedroom. Not an easy task since we have vaulted ceilings. My husband, son and I worked on it. I did the lower parts since I can't go above shoulder level. We had to cover up the whole floor because we just got carpet. It sure will look nice when it is all back in order! I also got several presents wrapped. I also worked on my North Pole Express. You can find that at the link to the left. It's been nice meeting new people. I always liked trains. Remember to visit Cottage Garden Adoptions for a link to winter adoptions. There are lots of them there! Hugs
We slept in today and then took our daughter to get her hair cut. We had lunch and then shopping. Ok, my daughter and I went into Kohlls and head off in different direction. My husband read the paper in the car and joined us later. I wasn't really in the shopping mood, still not feeling good from this cold. But I did get the gifts for the little girl we picked out at church. I got her some Barbie stuff and a shirt and pants. There isn't anything I really want this year. Just a happy , healthy family that serves the Lord. Hugs
Thanks Anita for this cute award. It made my day since I am under the weather with a cold. I took the wrong cold medicine and could not sleep last night plus I was stopped up. So I called in sick today at work. I like my job a lot, but when I am sick, I just can't drive 30 miles one way when I don't feel well. I am off on leave until next Monday. We will be decorating the house for Christmas. Today was a great day! I slept until 9am and then my friend Cynthia called. She could not go to the luncheon today and is leaving to Cabo San Lucas for vaction. I hope to go with her next year. Then I got changed and Marina, ny son's girlfriend fixed my hair and we left to the Havest of Blessings Luncheon at church. My sister could not go because she was sick and the Lord placed it on my heart to invite Marina. The luncheon was amazing! First of all, it was the first women's event I did not participate in. I mean for the last 10 years that I have been involved with Women's ministry, I have always been involved, either as the chairperson or a table hostess ot Director/over seerer. Now so many women are stepping up and getting involved and it is awesome! I was asked to say the opeing prayer and that was nice. What made this tea so neat was that men were involved! There was Felipe that welcomed us in his tux and directed us to the check in tale. Then we were escorrted to our tables by 1 of 10 waiters. So we were served by these men from church who had white shirts, black pants and aprons. We were served a wonder Itailian lunch of bread, salad, lasagna, veggies and a wonderful assortment of desserts. The music was great but what was so touching was hearing the personal testimonies of 4 of the women.I can't go into detail hear, but this is the verse that comes into my mind and is one of my personal favorites. "And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry." NKJV. Now here it is in a newer translation. "How thankful I am to Christ Jesus our Lord for considering me trustworthy and appointing me to serve Him." NLT You see, so many of us have a past and it left us feeling unworthy, full of shame, or empty and unloved. But God's grace, his forgiveness took it away and filled us up with His love. Each of the women are now in service at church. But one of them has stage 4 cancer and yet she still praises God. She knows where she is going if God takes her. She knows that her church family will see that her family will be taken care of. What an awesome woman. It was a teaful time yet a joyful time to rejoice in all the blessings we have been given. That is great news for the local mountians that will really need the skiers this season. After all the fire up there, they need it. The weather was really wild today with tons of lightening, hail coming down in Los Angeles and rain everywhere. This not very normal for SO. CA this time of year. I went to a craft show today and got a few things. I have a secret sister at church I am buying for and I have a secret pal on the net I am buying for. I am also making Christmas crafts for my co-workers. I am getting ready for Chrsitmas early this year and I am working on my blog change over for this weekend. I better get back to my crafts. Hugs
It wasn't that long ago that I decorated both my home and web home with fall/harvest graphics. But I am also getting ready for the Christmas season. I have been working on my pages. I have a whole Christmas site at my family site. I am redoing some of those pages. Here at home I am doing the same. I started my Christmas shopping and I am checking on some of my decorations for Christmas. I am also finally packing my summer clothes and bringing our my winter clothes. That is life, changing seasons. I like the fact that we know that life is a series of seasons. Some are better than others. Some make us sad and some happy. But there is one thing that does not change and that is God's love for us.
Well God is faithful and the rain poured all night and it even snowed in the mountains. I got to talk to Kacy and she is managing well comsidering she has not seen her hubby in days and they are staying in a hotel for a few weeks while work in done. Can you imagine home burning on both sides of you. Only her shed was burned. Her faith in God is what gives her the strength right now. It's just great to see how supportive everyone has been while we went through this. Well I decided to change the blook of my blog because there are just to many cute graphics out there and I love scarecrow. If you get a chance, visit my Fall Cottage and you will see a picture of some of my scarecrows. And thanks Tera for the cute gift! Hugs
Yes we got some clouds in today. It is suppose to rain today. It is still burning and over $2 billion worth of damage. 2600 homes lost, 730,000 acres burned. Kacy of Seasons Heaven has had damage to her home, but it is standing. Other homes aroud her were lost. She is in a motel. Pray for her husband. He is a firefighter. It is burning in Running Spring. I was suppose to go up there later today for the weekend. I hope the cabin has survived. Over 350 homes were lost in Lake Arrowhead.
I live between Orange Country and Riverside County. I am abour 15-20 miles from where the Rancho Fire is. This is the worst in CA history with 5 counties on fire. If you guys know, Kacy, she had to leave her home and is safe. She lives in the San Diego area.
This is what the news is reporting:17 people dead, 520,000 acres burned
11,000 fire fighters working on the fires,1500 homes lossed
$2 billion cost so far. It is just so sad. Our wonderful mountain communities are being devastated. It will be worse when the rain season hits. I was suppose to go up there this weekend but sure can't now.The fire is in the town I was going to. I know they are still evactuating people all over and I would not be surpised if Kay from Kays Adoptin shop had to go. Also, electical power is out in a lot of the fire areas as electrical grid and wires have beem damaged. The is no physical education for the kids in our community because of the smoke and ashes floating. Please pray. Thanks! The fire is still burning. It has gotton worse. I am ok, but the governor has called a state of emergecny for 4 counties. Over 600 houses burned, 13 people have died. I am suppose to go to the mountains this coming weekend and the roads are closed and it is burning up where we are going. I am so sad. They have brought in firfighters from Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Please pray for the 3000 fire fighters out there, Thanks The fire is still burning. It is cloudy lookiing outside but it is from the smoke. There are ashes all over. 2 freeways are closed and the Santa Ana winds are picking up which will only make the fires worse. Please pray for the 3000 fire fighters out there, Thanks.
We have several fires here in So. California right now. One of them is just 20 miles away and it is smokey here. The Santa Ana "hot winds" have moved the fires quickly. Schools and shut down and homes are being evacuated. Then it will be a 100 degrees+ today. So please keep us in prayer.
I believe that Lady B lives closer to the fire areas than I do. Praying for you Lady B.
I am so sad to just find out about Baby Ryan.
I was just at his site reading and was going to display the pray sign today and now I will display this one. I just got back from Bible study and it was great!
The midi playiing is that song. As we sang I just felt my spirit lift. It's a song written by Matt Redman. You can find most of the words in the book of Psalms from the Bible. The song has some verses that say "Praise You when I'm laughing, Praise You when I'm grieving, Praise You every season of the soul." It made me think that our soul needs to praise God in all things. Regardless of what we are feeling or what we are going through, the God of the universe is worthy to be praised. At Bible study we talked about letting go and trusting God. This can be so hard for us because we want everything now. But as we learn to trust God regardless of our life situation, we grow from the experience. I know this is easier said than done, but that is what true faith is made of. Have a great week! Hugs
I am off work Monday, but I will be working around the house. We are getting new carpet upstairs and the man comes to take measurements. So we have to pack lots of things up and paint what needs to be painted. My daughter wants to redo her whole room.....again! I don't blame her. She has her own unique style and we have come to an agreement. She is getting a black area rug to go over the new carpet. No black walls and no blck carpet. She will keep her leopard stuff but wants to put red in?!?* So we might get red curtains? Does not go with the leoapard but it is unique and her current favortie color. I gave her a few ideas athat she actually liked. You know how teens are when we have a suggestion. It was a good day for me. After church, we had a board meeting at Marie Calendars. The rest of the say has been relaxing. Have a grat week! Hugs
Time for another movie start to run California. I have mixed thoughts on that one. All I can say is we need to keep praying for our country. I have added lots of adoptions to my Adoption shop and the Winter AdoptionCottage is open. Hugs
The weather has finally cooled down here where I live. I went to Palm Springs overnight and it was warm there. Our church is plaaning a Women's retreat there and we were given 2 complimentary rooms, a tour and breakfast. So we will be going in May. That gives me 7 months to lose weight!
Well I this will be another busy week for me. Have a great week! Hugs
I belong to Darylynns's Homework and we has an assignment on phobias. I decided to be honest and open about a phobia of mine. I feel very blessed for the support and understanding I have received about it. Thanks to all of you! Hugs
Today was a great day! After church we went to my sister's house which is about 45 minutes away heading towards San Diego. We got to stay long enough to say hi to all the family and guest. I would have loved to stay. My dad was so understanding that we had to leave. He has asked about the progress of the church and was happy for us. He knows God's faithfulness. 2 years ago my dad suffered from a heart attack and had to undergo a triple by pass. I remember praying with my dad and asking God to keep my dad safe. You see, my dad was comforted with peace. He realized that it was in God's hand and that if he died, he had the assurance of going to heaven. Then God gave me the assurance that my dad would survive the operation. With a triple by pass, the heart is stopped for an hour or so while the surgery is done. Then afterwards, they have to restart the heart. It is a miracle itself and it is God that gives the surgeon the gift of medicine. But dad new that is was God that made it possible for him to be alive. Praise God! I just got back from theGirls of Grace ConferenceIt was in Los Angeles and it was great. About 40 people from our church went. The feature speakers and music was from the group Point of Grace. Tomorrow will be a real busy day too. After church will be headed to my sisters house for a few hours to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. Then back to our church land for the ground breaking ceremony! I am so excited. I need to get to bed early. We were up late at the hotel and up early for breakfast. Have a great week! Hugs
I went to youth tonight with my kids. My 2 sons are your counselors. My 14 year old daughter didn't like the idea of me going at first, but she is now. Tonight the pastor talked about God's faithfulness. The pastor has all the kids sit on the floor before him and uses current day examples. He gets a lot of feedback from the kids. Pastor Jim is such a great teacher!
My computer is working pretty well now. I just don't have as much time to be on it as I use to. It was a little bit cooler today. I am so looking forward to fall! God color coming to life through the change of season. Hugs! I got this cute gift today from my Tänia. It made me
happy with all the computer problems I have been having. So I am going to take it to be serviced and may be gone a few days. Hugs! Thanks God It's Friday and Thank God I'm Forgiven!.
I have made it through another work week safely. I drive 30 miles one way and the traffic is just horrible! I an so thanksful I carpool with my hubby, because otherwise I would miss a lot of work because of the pain in my shoulders and neck. So today I got to chat with my friends Tammy and Sue. I added leaves to my blog and added several adoptions here. I also opened up my fall cottage. The link is on the left at the bottom. Is should be in the 90's again tomorrow and to hot to decorate for fall just yet Just here on my web pages. Hugs! I could not sleep last night. For some reason our smoke alarm kept going off. So I came down to the computer and thought I was upgrading my new dsl Yahoo. Well seems like I added Yahoo to my internet browser and now I am having all these problems accessing regular yahoo. I use to be able to have both browsers open, but now the emails get all messed up. So needless to say, I am a little grestrated. On the other hand, I got this really cute gift from my friend Tera. You can find it at her adoption shop. I have some new adoptions at Cottage Gardens too. I just got back from Bible study and it was great! I have gotten several calls about the recall. I live in California and this whole thing is disturbing to me. I mean the people of CA voted for him. Now because things have been bad, they want him out. And now every Tom, Dick and Arnold is up for the position. And the CA tax payer will lose more money. It juest seems to me that people figure they can just change their mind. Unhappy marriage, end it. A political problem, recall, a teacher that shows compassion and heart, is accused of inappropiate behavior has to leave. Sorry for the venting. Well seems I have some specific things to pray about this week. Other than that, life is good! I took a 3 hour nap after church today. I am starting a new study on the names of God. I think God is telling me that He wants me to prepare for something He wants to do with me in the future. I am excited.
Everyone have a great week! At Wednesday Night Bible study, we spent time praying for the famlies affected by 911. Our new worship leader Dex Alexander, led the prayer and it was just a quiet time to remember that no matter what happens, God loves us. We broke into small group and held hands and prayed for our country, for the president, for the people of the US. Take time to reflect how lucky we are to live in the United States today. God bless the people of 911, God bless America! Saturday Sept. 6 6:30pm
This is the 4th time I have gone to a conference and I had a great time. I went with two great friends and met up with several other friends from church. Imagine 18,000 women at the Anaheim Pond singing to God.
It was just awesome. And in a couple of weeks I will be going to LA to the Girls of Grace Conference with my daughter, and other moms and daughters from church. I got the Women of Faith Devotional Bible for work and I also got a new cd that has lots of great songs on it like I Can Only Imagine and God og Wonders. Well I am of to see a movie with my family. God bless you!Hugs It only got the the low 90's today. And much cooler by the beach where I work. But oh my, the traffic in to work today was just awful.
I am debating on whether to change my blog to fall or not. I have been busy with my Cottage Garden Adoptions. I finally have a Little and several other cute adoptions there so come and visit when you can and please sign the mailing list.
Hugs This week has gone by so fast! Today my manager took us all out to eat at the Macaroni Grille. It was really nice and the food was great. I had grilled pork shops with this great sauce, beggies and garlic potatoes.
Tonight I had a meeting at church with the Pastor of Counseling. Pastor Eric has a Masters in marriage and family counseling. He met with a few of us to go over a new program that will be starting in January. It will be like going to school. We have a 6 month course, meeting every Thursday from 7-9pm. We will be receiving training in lay counseling. It will include 18 videos on different subjects like addictions, abuse, marriage counseling and so on. We will also be provided 4 books that will be purchased for us. We will have homework and counseling sessions with Pastor Eric. So it will be like going back to school. I have been praying for God to use me. I was a part of our Women's support group for over 7 years. I have been on a break for about 7 months. I wasn't sure if I was going back unless God called me back. It is so easy to get lax in things. I have been helping with the youth. I am still involved with Women's ministry. I had been asking God if it was time for me to leave Women's Ministry at the end of the year. Well I have a lot to pray about! This will be a big committment for me. I have to have my answer in by Septmember 19th so I have time. This will mean that I will be doing group and individual counseling. I would appreciate your prayers in this matter. Hugs My hubby and I were suppose to go to Mexico today with our church. But my hubby and I have been under the weather and decided to stay home. I slept in until 11:30 am! Yesterday I went to my orthapedic Dr for a check up and I was so sore. So sore that when I was backing out I flinched when my shoulder hurt and I must have turned the steering wheel a bit, just enough to scratch my car where it was just repaired. I wanted to cry. But when I old my husband he was actually understanding about it. Today we went to Olive Garden for lunch and then to Pep Boys to get some stuff for the scratch.
Renee my daughter babysat for my cousin Joanie and her hubby. They went to Mexcio in our place since our tickets were already paid for. So a bus load of people went and my 2 boys went too. They had a nice time and they brought back my birthday presents. Andrew gor me a double mail holder with roses on it. Daniel got me an angel windchime made out of shell. Well I need to get ready for church so everyone have a happy Sonday! Here are the pictures of my
~Anniversary/Birthday~ First of all , thanks to all who wished me a Happy Birthday which was yesterday. Everyone got together at work and gave me a wonderful potlcuk party and my room was all decorated. There is this wonderful guy named Brian that passes out roses and he left me a dozen lavender roses. He also decorated my room. Today I got my car back and it does not look like it was in an accident. Today I went to lunch with a couple of friends from work and then tomorrow I go to lunch with my parents. I really feel blessed! Well I have to update my computer. It was hit with that worm and so I was not online much until today. Have a great week! Hugs
Hi Friends. Its been a long while since blogging! Bue what I was really thinking about was my marriage. Sunday my husband and I will be belbrating our 29th anniversary. We will be going to a resort-spa at Laguna Beach for a couple of days. We were not going to do anything since we had gone away in June, but since the accident, we decided we did want to do something. I mean we both realize that the accident could have been more serious. I got to see how much my husband really cares for me by the way he handled things. My kids saw that too. They also need to see that mom and dad need to have time to their selves and that our anniversary is something that we both celebrate becacause it is important to us. We went through some rough times and we have a lot to be thankful for! I hope to post pictures when I come back. I now have a mailing list at my
Cottage Garden Adoptions and hope to send my first newsletter out on Monday. So please go and sign up. Thanks and God bless you! Hi Friends, I got his award from Micki and I will be putting it on my blog awards page. Ok, about the medicine. Yesterday evening I took the wrong medication before bed. I took a pain killer instead of the muscle relaxant. The pain killers act the opposite in me and keep me awake instead of helping me sleep. So I was up until 4:30 am! In fact a couple of my friends who are early risers found me and we chatted for awhile. So I slept most of the day away, just me and Reina. Then I doaked in a hot tub and read some more of Isaiah. Later my husband and I went to dinner at a Mexican seafood place and the food was just great! So we brought some home for lunch after church. I better get to bed because we greet tomorrow. I just took a glass of milk to help me sleep and I will use a heating pad. Hugs Hi Friends, I went to the Dr today and he has me off until Monday! He wants me to keep appying heat to my back cause my muscles are stil tight. I added 2 new Julie Bears to my Adoption Site and also redid the graphics and layout a little. Today I was reading from Isaiah in the Bible.
Because the people did evil things, God had to punish the people of Israel. Yet God promised that He would restore His people. Just like a loving parent who knows when to discipline to teach a child a lesson. Then gives a child love and another chance.
Hi Everyone! I joined a new club today because I love gingerbread, They are just so cute. I also have pages and you can find here plan on going back to work tomorrow after I go to the Drs tonight for a check up. Hugs
Hi Everyone! I am relaxing today. We went to church today and then to Walmart for a heating pad. It can be hot or cold. I have had time to read my Bible while soaking in hot baths. Now after a few days of heat, I can ice the back.
My husband puts this ice hot cream that feels great, but smells kind of yucky.
My daughter took some pictures of the car. Like I said, it could have been worse! The guy had insurance and admitted to his fault. I am adding some pictures today to my herb pages. I also have a couple new
Hi Everyone!
Back in January I started reading through the Bible using an online in chronlogical order. I am a little behind, but probably around 1/2 ways through. I am really excited to be learning so many new things. We are studying Joshua and that Pastor mentioned a few things that I had just read in the Bible. I am also reading Armageddon the current book of the Left Behind series. It is about the tribulation, the last days on Earth. The things I learn in the Bible today are the things I take to heaven in the future.
Hi Everyone!
Well I updated my blog again. Same graphics, just a little different layout.
I also changed the layout for my adoption cottage and there are lots of cute things there!
I worked in the yard today, clearing out the grass around the sprinkler heads
so that they would work properly. I also cleaned out my old van. Renee will be washing it on Tuesday. I need to put the middle seat back in there.
My hubby and I also washed the upstairs deck off our bedroom. We decided to go up there after dinner and read together.
I also worked a little in my patio garden in the front.
All that and I still had time to read and get my bangs cut and put my pictures from our vacation in a photo album. It is early morning and my son just got home from work and we are going to have brekfast together. He just cooked up some eggs and toasted some waffles. Have a happy Sonday!Hugs Darylynn was nice enough to let me know my vacation link was not working. Also, my new email is susan4jesus@sbcglobal.net. It will take me some time to change all my pages to the new email. Things are set at the home, site map and adoption cottage. I have lots of new adoptions too like the one above. I just love the freckles kids!Hugs I finally have dsl! Things move so fast! I won't have to take so long when working on my pages. My new email is susan4jesus@sbcglobal.net.
My Bible reading is coming along. I really have enjoyed my Bible Studies both off and on line. Well it's time for dinner. My son made green chilli chicken enchiladas. I gave him the basic instructions and he added his own twist. He put one layer of rolled corn tortillas and the second layer has flour tortillas! He is imaginative that is for sure!
Hugs I can't believe how the days just go so fast. Now that we are back at work, I am back on track with my Bible reading. I am reading about King Solomon now. The richest and wisest man of the Bible. But when he took his eyes off God, he lost his people and because of it the nation of Istael split. I have read the whole Bible before, but I am learning so many things this time around. Treasures to take to Heaven!
Hugs I have been working on this a since I came
back and here they are:
~Our Vacation~ Yesterday we went to the wedding of our friends Eric and Jennifer Disney. Eric is our marriage counselor. He helped us a lot! We are so happy for him. He graduated from the Cal Baptist Univercity where our son will be going. I have one more day of vacation and then it is back to the world of the career women. Enjoy the pictures! Hugs Hi friends, I am sitting here with my dog on my lap. She weighs about 20 pounds and she just has to be here with me. I have been working on several pages today. I updated my homepage with Irene's Garden graphics and added a few more adoptions to Cottage Garden Adoptions. I am also working on my vacation pages and those should be ready by Sunday. I have to scan the pictures since I don't own a digital camera. Today we will be going to my parents to eat, swim and share the pictures of the vacation. Well I better get to bed before the sun comes up! Hugs Hi friends, Yes it is late again for me but I am trying to get a few things caught up here at my web pages. We had a great time on our vacation. I will be doing some pages with pictures as soon as I scan the pictures and find the graphics. For now here is the link to the places we went to
Luxory on the Loop at June Lake
and
Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast . Darylynn, you would love Whispering Pines! Hi friends, Yes it is late, but you know how it is when you are going on vacation, a 1000 things to do! Can you believe that! I make it all thorugh the winter and spring fine and now that I am getting ready for vacation I get sick. So please keep me in prayer that I will get over this by Friday when we leave.Hugs Hi friends, I had a busy weekend but good weekend. I went to my friend's sons grad party yesterday after my haircut. Then it was of to y Father In laws for Father's day. Today after church and shopping we spend the day at my parents and had a great time. My dad had a triple bypass almost 2 years ago and I thank God he got extra time to be with us. My family was very happy to see we got a new car! I thank my Father in heaven for all the wonderful blessings we have. Hugs Hi friends, here is a picture of the potter Carole
and myself at the retreat. The pottery has a grape pattern on it to go with my living room decor. Click on the picture below to read the poem Carole recited at the retreat. Hugs Hi friends! Darylynn asked where we went. Twin Peaks in the San Bernardino Mountains, very close to Lake Arrowhead. I have a few pictures up
Here. My herbs are growing well. You can read about my herbs at my homework page and the link to Science project. Hi friends! The retreat was wonderful! The mountains were just beautiful! I had the best time with my friends and God was really moving at that place! We has a potter lady and she was just great! She took a lump of clay and made these different pieces, all while she was telling us how God was molding us to be who wanted us to be. I will have a web page on it in the next few days. Hugs Hi friends! I have been doing so many things. Spending time with my daughter, reading my Bible, working, and getting ready for our Women's Retreat. I just finished the bookmarks and newsletter today. I also finished the room assignments. I still have to pack and we leave Friday morning. I can hardly wait! Well my friends and I finished the Purpose Drive Life and I am sure we can all say we were really touched in a specail way. I plan to read it again and journal as I go along. I love to read! Well I better go now because it is late and I have to get up early. My homework assignment is up. Just hit the link on the left.Hugs

Topic: Your Style
How would you describe how your home is decorated?
My front room is formal. I have lots of furniture
and it is accented with grapes and grapy ivy. I was
inspired by reading the book Secrets of the Vine.
What made it real special was meeting 2 interent
friend at Callaway Winerey in Tememcula. You can
read about it
Here
How do you normally dress? I prefer jeans and a sweatshirt
when it is cold. I like to dress up a little more on Sundays.
How do you style your hair? Ususally naturally, just past my
shoulders. It is realy wavy and curls nicely when layered.
I do have to color it. I am naturally dark brown, but color
it to a medium brown and the gives it a hint of red highlights.
Do want a different hair style? U have been thinking of getting
lighter highlights, since it seems to be the inn style.
Is your house how you want it or do you want to change it?
We have been working on it for a year now. Last year we painted
the inside and out. We had tile put all over the 1st floor.
We will be getting new carpet in the next couple of weeks.
The only other thing that really needs work is the lawn.
That will hae to wait until next year.
Hugs

Hi friends! It's amazing how weight creeps up on us. But then things can happen and there we are, with tight jeans and thinking, no bathing suit for me! Ok, then there is a thing called PMS and chocolate. It's time to do something. My daughter and I joined a gym today and we start tomorrow. Afterwrs we went to Walmart to get her a few gym things. She is so excited to do this and it is one mother-daughter thing we can do to foster a closer relationship during this teen time! Church was great today. Just one of those fun times when we talked about how God made us all different. We talked about the different temperaments-personalities. You can go here to read about it. Have fun! Oh look at this nice gift I got from my friend Kacy. Thanks Kacy!Hugs
Hi friends. I am here with my my husband and daughter and we are watching a program on donuts. I think this weekend is just about eating! It has been pretty relaxing today. I cute a few leaves of my lavender plant and added them to a hot bath. It was nice! Darylynn, you have opened a new interest for me. I won't let a few dying plants discourage me! I plan to do some blog hopping this weekend. Oh I added 2 more adoptions site. Happy Birthday America and God's Promises. There is a link on the menu rack. Yesterday our block had some excitement. A motor home knicked over a fire hydrant. The wated was shooing way up in the air! We drove through the street twice for a free car wash. I could not see a thing under the fallin water. All the neighbors were our talking. I took a picture of it for a cool memory! Have great Sunday and Happy Memorial day! Hugs>
Hi friends. In the Purpose Driven Life, Rick is talking about using the gifts God has given us to serve others. We all have some gift and we have to be ourselves to use it. One of my gifts is teaching. And I feel that God will be using me in Youth Ministry. There are things I still have to learn and like the graphics above, patience is one of them! Ok, now what else is new, it is hot here today! In the 90's and it is not over. I brought out my summer clothes today and tons of laundry to do. But now I have to lose weight! I hope to join a gym soon. Hugs>
Hi friends, Well what can I say. The weeds are the things that happen in the garden. They crop up slowly and you don't see them still they are staring you in the face. My kids are the flowers and the weeds are the things that want to choke the garden. So now I have to do some weeding or at least parent damaged control. It sure isn't easy! I had a long talk with the Master Gardner last night and He gave me peace during this time of clouds.
I know I am not alone. I have several friends praying that I stay calm cause mama is not a happy camper! But this is life right? A garden full of mixed blessings. Hugs
Hi friends, It is a nice breezy day outside and that is where I should be. But I am still in my pjs recovering from a teenage hangover. My daughter had a few friends over and they went to tp a house. My older son went with them. I knew the first house they went to, but when they did not come back right away. I knew they had gone to another. Thy were up until 3am chatting away and giggling in my daughters roo, All the girls moms knew they were here and we were here with them. Do you remember being a teen? Do you even want to remember? I let them go because it was clean fun. They could be into drugs or sex, but they are not and I thank God for that. So I will enjoy my day of relaxing and maybe see if they want to have a water balloon fight. Mabye I will throw the first ballon! Hugs>
Hi friends, This book is just a blessing to me and my friends that are reading it! Well Mother's Day was great! We went to Temecula to my sister's home and had a great time. The kids were playing basket ball and some on the trampoline and some in the pool. Of course we ate tons of food and just enjoyed ourselve. This year as we held hands and gathered for the prayer berfore the meal, we did a little something different. The oldest child of ech family siad a prayer for thier mom and aunts. Then me, being the oldest of child of my parents said a prayer for my mom. It was very heartfelt! Tlaking about heartfelt, the concert was great on Saturday night! There is nothing like being in a huge arean and hearing the whole place singing praise to God! It was a blessing that I will never forget. Another thing I will never forget is church that Mother's Day Sunday. Pastor Jim asked people to go hug your mom if she was at church that day. Well my 2 sons were at the front of the church and they had to make thier way back to me. About hald way's there they acted like little boys, both shoveing to get to me. As Dnaiel appraoched, he oepend up his arms and yelled MAMA! Andre just shook his head and smiled. I think the whole church was laughing and some clapping. It made my morning. My fgown sons, 22 and 19, still my little boys! My daughter Renee was in the Jr Ji class, but she gave me a beautifl card that is sitting on my computer at this moment!Hugs!
Hi friends, I will be going to hear Michael w. Smith. Third Day and Max Lucado at the Anaheim Pond. That is where the Might Ducks play. It is early in the morning and I thought I better post now because I will be busy most of the day. I also posted my homework and you can click on it at the left.
Have a great Happy Mother's Day if I don't make it here on Sunday Hugs!
Hi friends, the days just go by so fast. I have had church activities every night this week. In between is reading and doing my Purpose Driven Life homework. I am also doing Daylynn's homework which I am really enjoying. I am also doing Lady B's Bible Study on the fruit of the Spirit. I guess you would say I am the perpetual student! I do need to sleep though so that is where I am off to. Where is everyone? Hugs!
Hi friends, Well we are on day 20 of the Purpose Driven Life. Todays lesson was on reconcillition. Forgiveness. Saying I am sorry. It is so easy to say "well if so and so says it first, they have to change or it is their fault. This chapter was so good. One sentence was so good."God expects unity, not uniformity, and we can walk arm and arm, without seeing eye to eye."
Hugs!

Hi friends. I got to do a little planting today after church. Rain is in the forecast for the next few days, and is needed. My husband and sons put up rain gutters and one of them will flow into my fountain. Should be interesting!I changed my iste map over today with Amreta's new spring collection and this blog. Since it is like spring, decided to go spring here too! Today our church had its first service in our new location. We moved from a Jr hi to a High school. This is where we will be for about a year while they build our church. When I started going there in 1993, they had about 200 people. We are about 1000 now with kids and youth and with this move, we are bound to grow! That is a harvestof blessings for sure!Hugs
Hi friends. It is a beautiful warm suuny day out today and I plan to go out and plant some flowers in my garden. It is not a large garden, actually just the area as you walk up to my door. I have pages at my website that talk about my garden. I have planted impatients and now I have to plant some white and purple allysum. I also planted pansies where there is more son. I also planted fake pansies in the planter boxes so they won't die due to me forgetting to water them! Thank goodness God does not forget about us. He works on us all through the year. Sure don't like the pruning and weeding he does on me, but it sure is needed. I thrive way better not being fullof weeds. Tongiht we go to our marriage group for dinner, lesson and game. Next month it is at our house. I always look forward to meeting with our friends. Another blessing in the garden of our lives! Hugs
Hi friends. I just chose a blog look for spring that I like. It isn't spring yet, though it feels that way here in California. I am also talking about my spiritual self. Things are beginning to happen that are having me look at new things for my life. I am not a person readily likes to see changes. But I have been asking God to show me what He wants for me to do and I have to be willing to be obedient. I might say. " I can't" and God says I can. I might say "I am afraid" and God will say "I am with you. to not be afraid."
My home garden is looking great and I have haven't even finished yet. Well God isn't finished with me yet! Hugs

Hi friends. I got to have lunch with my friend Stephanie today. We had lunch at Mimi's Cafe and then went shopping at Walmart. Then we went back to her house for tea and more talking. We have known each other for about 8 years. We have been facilitators for our women's recovery group. We now serve on the Women's board together. I know God has shown us how He has worked in our lives so that we can serve others. We talked from 12-7! on what God has been doing in our lives. It was so nice to talk freely about the ups and downs of our lives and to see how God had worked in us- is still working in us! Our husband both knew that this was a "chick day" a time to "yack", and it was nice.
I am glad that God has shown me that it is okay to have fun and share myself with others. That is why I like this blog. You get to see the real me. Something I hid for years. Because I understand God's love for me, I have leanrd to accept just me and not the person I felt I had to be! ******
Sunday I had the several women over from our Women's ministry board and head committe women. It was great to have this potluck/planning meeting. We got to talk about what has happened since we all met in January at our retreat in the mountains. It has been a great time of fellowship. It was nice to share my finally finished home with friends! Have a nice week!
Hi friends. I worked in the garden today again. It sure is exercise. My knees are sore and my back to, but the garden is looking nice!
So is the house. I will have to take some puctures soon. We also bought a sofa recliner at the Lazy Boy store. It is burgundy and it is so comfy. We has bought to big recliners, but they are to big for our small family room. We got a great deal because we bought the floor model at a clearnace price and we took it home in our van. Well I am off to soak in a hot bath and read my Bible. I am in Leviticus, the book is all the rules having to do with the temple and the people. Moses' brother Aaron was the first priest along with his sons. Everyone have a great Sunday. Hugs!
Hi friends. My friend Sue sent this cute bear for Valentines Day. After 3 days of rain, it finally was partly sunny today and cool. I got my hair cut shorter and then came home and worked in the garden for about an hour. So that is my exercise for today. The kids are all gone and it is just me and hubby tonight! But he is working overtime. I already have dinner set and we will go out tomorrow instead. I know I haven't been here much. That is because after 7 months of having my house all boxed up for the remodeling, it is done. So I have been busy decorating. I have also been going htorugh boxes and doing some early spring cleaning.
Hi friends.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness.(23)gentleness and self control. These are qualities that I am sriving for daily. As I ask God to work in me, He is refining these qualities in me. Without Him in mh life, I am just sour fruit. Fruit is no good when it is rotten or spoiled. But good fruit is pleasant to the eye and nourishes the soul. We just don't want our fruit in a basket for display, we want to give it to others.
Hi friends. A few of my friends and I have decided it is time to get back in shape. So we have decided to hold each other accountable for taking care of ourselves. It has been nice and suuny the last few days, but rain is on its way by Tuesday. Now back to exercise....I had a chance to work in the garden today.I spent about 2 hours pulling and digging up weeds and moving rocks and bricks and raking. So that is my exercise for the day! I am ready for a hot bath for my aching back. I did get a chance to stop and read my Bible when I was finsihed. I sat outside while the sprinkles were on and read this: Hebrews 10:22 "Let us draw near with a sincere heart full of assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean freom an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water." It made me think of working out in the garden. there are things that will grow and choke the garden if we don't maintain it. And the garden needs water to grow, Just like we do, and Jesus is that living water. No matter what things get us dirty, we have the assurance of knowing that Jesus is always there to clean us up. God bless you and Happy Sonday!
I walked into work today and the alert sign had changed color to orange, level 4. I later heard it on the news. The news just said that more reserves were called in to Camp Pendleton. So many men from California are being deployed. My friend Mary's husband has left. My friend Nancze gas a son out there somewhere. Though we are not in control, we can do something. Please pray friends. The news said to try to lead a normal life but be alert. My daughter and husband and I just watched Sweet Home Alababma. Very good movie! Now the news just said that a piece of the shuttle was found in Norco, the city next to mine. I hope they can find the reason to give the famlies some closure and future mishaps can be prevented. Well have a nice weekend friends. Hugs!

Hi friends, I am reading the Power if the Praying Women right now. This is part of a prayer that said what I was thinking. "Lord, I don't want to be just a hearer of Your Word. Show me how to be a doer of Your Word as well. Enable me to respond the way I should and obey You. Show me when I am not doing what it says. Help me to apply my heart to Your instruction and my ears to Your Words of knowledge. May Your Words correct my attitude and remind me of what my purpose is on earth. May it cleanse my heart and give me hope that I can rise above my limitations. May it increase my faith and remind me of who You are and how much You love me. May it bring the security of knowing my life is in Your hands and You will supply all my needs. Thank You Lord, that when I look into Your Word, I find You. Help me to know You better through it. pg92" This is a great book and I would highly recommend it!
Hugs
Hi friends, I was talking to a few of my friends and we were talking about this heart knowledge. I have discussed this many times with my Pastor. He knew I was"educated" had a degree and yet when it came to things of the spirit, I was jut a baby. I knew Bible verses, but I didn't really apply them. The Bible says not to just be hearers of the Word, but to be doers of the Word. It means taking those things we learn and allowing it to sink into our hearts. WWJD- What would Jesus Do? Not what Susan wants to do. Susan wants to spend her money here and there. Head knowledge says sure, The Word-the Bible says to tithe-give %10 pf your earnings to God. Our heart tells us it is the right thing to do, after all, it is all His anyways. The heart says that we do it with a good attitude-heart knowledge, because we love Jesus and He first loved us. Hugs
Hi friends! The days are just moving so fast now. My house is coming back together and I am enjoying it. I am ahead on my Bible reading and like a few of my friends, seems like the more I read, the more this desire grows as a new understanding has come alive. And the same with my walk with God. Monday was the fellowsip and it was great!!!God planted all these ideas in my head from my bisit to the vineyard. Proverbs 16:9 says that “the mind of man plans his ways, but the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:3 says ”commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established. Well God sure did an awesome thing using some of us women and we just had to be obedient. Once we got up there, He took over. He gave us peace during our presentations and it just went so well. I plan to do a page on it because it follows the page I did on my trip to the Vineyard. I hope to have some picture up by this weekend too. Hugs
Hi friends! I hope you had a nice weekend. I did. We are enjoying summer weather in the high 80's. I got a lot of decorating done this weekend. I also worked on my presentation for our Women's Fellowship at church which is on Monday. I am talking on Spiritual Growth and using John 15 for my main scipture verses. I was just amazed at how God gave me all these ideas for this and I pray I do well for Him! Keep me in your prayers. I also decorated a grape ivy wreath for part om my presentation and I will hang it up iin my living room afterwards. Oh and with this warm weather, I finally decided to change my blog. Snowmen don't survive well in So. California!
My daughter had 3 friends spending the night tonight. They are going paintballing tomorrow real early and so they thought it would be easier. But of course these girls all think they know it all. Remember when you were 13?
So all my kids will be at this church activity. Andrew my oldest is a youth leader and has been in charge of the whole event. So my house will be quiet, praise the Lord! I have gotten quite a bit done these past few days and my house is feeling homey again instead of feeling like we were moving. So if I am not here much, it is because I am a busy homemaker. Hugs!
Hi Friends, of us are reading the Bible in a year. I have read the whole Bible before but more to just"get through it". I have also been through several books at our verse by verse study at church. Now I am reading it with a different motive. I want God to show me things He wants me to see. And so far, I am seeing several new things and I understand a whole lot better too. I think that is also how I am seeing life. So may things that I once took for granted now have a new outlook for me. I could say it is an age thing, but I believe it is God teaching me because I am hungry for Him. Just at a point where I am getting more forgetful in everyday things, lights are coming on in my head with spiritual things. Well Praise God!!
Hello friends, I have been a very busy woman these past few days! Thursday there was guest speker at our church that spoke on abuse. So many people have suffered from this. Then on Friday, there was the servants banquet for our church. My daughter has fun playing doll with me. She fixed my hair and makeup and everyone said I looked real nice. It is so nice to go to this even because everyone is really dressed up. We dress pretty casual at our church, so its nice to dress up. Saturday I took my daughter shopping and then we had dinner our for my Father in laws birthday. Church was good as always. Then I went shipping to get some curtains for my living room. It is so nice to be getting things back in order in my house. There is a lot I will not be putting back up. This also pertains to my spiritual life. I am putting things in order like my Bible reading. I am cutting back our cutting out things that are clutter in my life. It takes time to do this. With God's help, I can do this! Have a great week!
Hello friends. Today my eldest turned 22. This August we will have been married 29 years. There was a time we thought we might not be able to have kids. I was so sad 23 years ago when had my 3rd miscarriage. I finally gave it over to God and then the next month I was pregnant with Andrew.
Today Andrew and I had lunch with my parents and I thank God for them! I love them so much and just thank God for how He opened my eyes to see the love my parents have for me. For a long time I saw through the eyes of an angry child.
Tonight at Bible study they sang Happy Birthday to Andrew. Of course I was the proud mom, especially knowing how his personal walk has really grown this past year. I am also blessed with 2 other kids that I love. God is good. Now my heart still go out to women who haven't been blessed yet. You are in my prayers and I know your hearts desire and what you feel. Sending you extra big hugs! I feel so on fire right now and reading the Bible is showing me all sorts of things like how we are saved by grace. Well I am off to make lunches and then to bed.
Hello friends. Today was a beautiful sunny warm day and great for a visit to the Vineyard. My sister Terry works at the Callaway Vineyards in Temecula CA. As I approached the vineyard I saw that the the vineyards were in various stages of pruning. I parked my card and looked out at the newer section of the vineyard. A disease at struck a year ago and much of that part of the vineyard was destroyed and replanted. Then I had this urge to walk over to the area that my friends Doralee and Tammy and I had visited last summer. Eveything was pruned and the cut branches lay on the ground. It decided to spend some quiet time there and I heard God talking to me. It as if He was saying look out at the fields and remember the growh you witnessed last summer. Now see the pruning, that is what I was doing in you and many others. Now you are ready for more growth. I will use you and others grow and then you will be ready to help me harvest. I was just so amazed and touched. I wrote it all down because I was so excited. To read about it go here to ~The Vineyard~Hugs
Well I just came home from our retreat and it was wonderful! We went to the mountain which is about 1 hour away. There was still snow there, but I didn't make a snowman.
There was 15 of us women, some on the women's board and some committe head groups. We had a wonderful time of praise and worship last night in the family room that was lit by the fireplace. We prayed for each other and really drew close to to each other. God is calling us to take a deeper walk with Him as we also prepare to reach out to the many women of our ministry. I am really excited about what God will do through us. This morning I did a brief devotion about God meeting us where we are and asking us to follow Him and serve Him. This led into sharing what woman of the Bible we could identify with and why. I plan to do a web page on all what God showed me. Got to go now, Got a lost teeneager on the freeway needing directions. Hugs
The tile if all in now! it just need to be cleaned and the grout sealed. The house looks so much bigger! Well I am off to a 24 hr retreat in the mountains with the women's board and committe heads. We will be planning our years activities and our retreat in June. It will also be a time of growth, refresing and fellowship. Have a great weekend!Hugs
Today's Saying is: I am in the process of disconnecting my computer system. I put away the scanner and printer and unplugged the sound. My son will help me put the computer away. Tomorrow they will tile this family room where my computer is. So after today I may be offline a few days. There has been really strong winds since last night and all my furniture is filthy. They moved it tp the garage and of course the garage is open and the dust in puring in. It was hard driving to work today becaue the wind is so strong. It has caused a very bad fire in the city next to us and huge black clouds are in the sky. I pray that no homes are lost.
I think the fire is the riverbed. Hugs
My friend Tania posed this question. What do I need to surrender to God? God there are several things God has been talking to me about in this area. I need to get more organized with my time. One of the women in the Bible I could identify with is Martha. She was always busy doing- thinking that it was for God and others. Then she got mad at Mary who was sitting at the foot of Jesus. She wanted Mary to help her. But Jesus said that Mary had chosen the best thing and that was to sit at the feet of Jesus. Mary had chose to put Jesus first. I have improved in this are but still need lots of growth. One of my obstacles is not being organized and then in the long run I spend to much wasted time trying to "organize" when I could actually soend more time with the Lord. Part of this organization also requires that I spend less time on the computer. In fact, this computer desk is in dire need of getting decluttered! Now that we are finally getting our tile, I need to do this. I will pray that God will help me in this process of letting go things I do not need. Keep me in prayer about this. Hugs
Hi Friends!Today my daugter spent 6 hours of shopping! She needed to exchange some things, I needed to buy a dress for the servant banquet for church on Jan. 17th. Today was the big sale at Mayco and since I have had good luck there I went again, I found the nicest dress that was originally $100. It's black velvet with floral lace short sleeves. Anyways, it was marked down and then 50% off and then another 15% for today. My daughter liked the dress on me too and I got the dress for $29! I already have shoes and a purse and earings so I got a necklace too! I don't often buy myelf such nice things, but I did work some extra hours. This is the one even at church where we can really dress up. My daughter got the jacket she wanted. We both got a few undies at the Victoria Secret lingerie sale. She used her Christmas money and we had a nice time together. When we got home my husband said the tile if finally getting put in next week. So I thought I was going to take my Christmas stuff down over the next couple of weeks. Now I will be taking mot of down over the next couple of days!Well I better go start working on it now. Hugs
Hi Friends! First of all I want to thank Tania for the cup of Kindness that Mary made. Then I want to share something my daughter told me. We were talking about New Years resolutions and she decided what she was going to do. Being all of 13 she has finally decided to eat better and exercise. Then she said she was going be be nicer to her family and talk nicer to everyone. I told her that was great! Being the younger sister of two older brothers, she developed a toughness an attitude to keep up with their teasing. I warned the boys when they were all younger to be gentle with her but they did not listen and now they know what I meant. But her words were a great message for me too. So it is something I will work on. Postivie, encouraging words is so important. So I challenge all of us to work on this. Hugs!
Hi Friends! I have had a nice day of relaxing and working on my webpages. I redid my New Years and home pages. I got to chat with a few friends and that was nice. Tammy we had to out the fire out with water. Our firepalce was smoking and setting off the smoke alarm so the fire had to be put out. Time to get it cleaned! My doxie Reina was not a happy camper with the loud noise and being tossed on the couch when we had to do this in a hurry! We had to open all the windows. Lucily it wasn't real cold out. Well I am off to watch more of the Iron Chef Marathon on the food channel. Sue, maybe I will be inspired to cook something, but not today! Hugs!
