A few are from 2009 and one from 2000. I have had the small palm tree for several years. First time I decorated it!

Today's Saying: A little off track, but okay.

I thought it was the 10th today! I will be participating in a holiday Christmas boutique today. I have been busy crafting this week. What I don't see, I will use as Christmas gifts. I am trying to keep up with my Bible journaling too. I have not started on my Christmas cards yet. I will do that Monday. I remember I use to get them out the first day of December. It is not as fun as it use to be since so many people do not send out cards anymore. I will also start working on my pictures from Hawaii. Everyone says they loved it so we are talking about going again in a couple of years!

Today's Saying: So many things to do!

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii. The kids loved it and want to go back again. We stayed at the Marriot Resort on the side opposite of Wakiki next to the Disney Aulani. The weather was great, around 82 degrees with about 70% humidity and warm breezes. It rained as we headed to the airport. I am working on a webpage that will be on this trip.

So we came back to cool weather for So California, the low 60's. Luckily I had already started my Christmas decorating. I am in a holiday boutique this Saturday and I have to get ready for that.

We heard about the death of President Bush on our way home from the airport. He was a great president, with a true love his family and nation. I found this sweet picture on Facebook.

Today's Saying: Count down to Hawaii!....

I have been to Hawaii 3 times and my pages can be found at my site map. This time my family will be going with us. The grand kids are excited. They will expeience their first plane ride. They will miss a week of school so they are ready for the adventure. Over the summer I bought each of the grandkids a shirt or dress to wear to the Luau. I still have a lot of clothes I have worn there before, so I only got a couple of things. I am preparing traveling journals for them to work on and document their experience. I plan to scrap book it too.

Meanwhile it is still fall here and I am finishing up some projects and getting ready for new ones. One Bible study eneded last week and another ends this week. I am providing my group with things for Bible jouranling. The first two pictures below are from my Revival Camp Study. On Novemeber 1 I will begina Grace and Gratitidue. You can see a picture of my new book next to 100 Days of Bible Promises after I was done.

Today's Saying: Fall countdown!

I was with my family this past weekend celebrating more birthdays. The party was Saturday and I stayed until Monday. My sister's and I met for lunche before I left and we had a great visit. The Fall is officially here on Satuday which is my dad's birthday. Our days are still warm, in the high 80's or low 90's but the evenings are cooling down to the 50's which is a welcome relief. I started my fall decorating but won't go all out as I normally do. We leave to Hawaii the day after Thanksgiving and I usually start Christmas decorating Thanksgiving week. We usually have our tree up for Thanksgiving day so we can tale family pictures that day. I normally pass out Christmas ornaments that day too. This year I will buy them in Hawaii. Counting down the days!!!

Today's Saying:

Hubby and I are watching a documentary on the even of 911. It is a day I will never forget. Our great nation was attacked. As awful as it was, I remember how it united the nation. Back then I was a part of a web community of friend from all over the world. I have a page I did as many of us did. Our way of showing support. I live about 25 miles from Disneyland. It closed and it had only closed one other day, the day that President Kennedy was killed. I remember that day too. I was in 2nd grade and I remember the teachers crying and being sent home from school. Both times were a time of great sadness and the whole nation grieved. Here is the page I did.

Today's Saying:God bless America!

I just watched the Eulogy service for Senaor McCain and was very touched. For most of my life, I had no interest in politics. It just wasn't my thing. I respected my parents who were politically active for many years. I think it was great to see them with their diverse group of friends who believed that freedom belonged to all Americans. I have seen a lot of changes the past few years and I worry for my grand kids. I could say a lot, but the main thing is that we need to pray for our nation.

Thank you for your service Senator McCain.

Today's Saying: Life is full of color.

I changed my blog to a camping theme because I am doing 2 online "Camps" Reset Girl's Camp Reset 2018 and Illustrated Faith Revival Camp 2018. I did this last year and really enjoyed it! Over two years ago I discovered Bible jouranling through Pinterest. I did not think I had any artistic ability, but I knew I was creative. From there I have gone outside the Bible to doing journaling studies.

August 21, 2018
Today's Saying: Summer weather still here.

I added a few more pictures to the previous post. Grands are all back in school and happy! The weather is still hot here but at least the fires are gone. I have been busy with at the online Camp Reset and Revival Camp. I am still caught up with my bible through the year reading. It is the first time I am reading it chronologically and I have a much better understanding of it. I start a women's small group study this Wednesday. On Friday I am going to an all day Women's Conference call Repurpose. For Revival Camp I am working on the devotion called Fellowship. So even Mema has school!

I just uploaded pictures of my San Francisco trip to Facebook. I would really like to go back one more time with hubby. There is so much to see and my cousin and I were just there for a day. It wasn't until a week ago that I realized that we went under the San Francisco Bay on the Bart. Under the bridge too! There is a link to the right if you want to see the pictures.

Today's Saying: It has been a burning hot summer!

I finally am using a camping theme since I am doing two camp theme activities on Facebook. One is through Illustrated Faith called Revival Camp 2018 and is Biblical based. I am also doing Camp Reset again this year which is on self care. I did it last year and really enjoyed it. It is from Cori the Reset Girl. I will explain more in my next post which I hope to do in my next post. I need to read my Bible and get to bed before midnight. Please keep our state in prayer. Thanks!

Today's Saying: The days are swimming bye!
July 4, 2018
Today's Saying: Happy Independence Day!

After my last post we went to the beach again and I got sunburned. I was looking after my 2 older grands since their mom was on a weekend getaway. But it was a fun day for sure. I left a few days later to meet my cousin Joanie in Walnut Creek. I flew into Oakland on July 10th and she picked me up. I do plan to make a webpage on our adventure. We had the best time! It was good to see San Franciso again and we walked over 8 miles just that day! I got back on the 23rd. We have the two older grands for 2 full weeks so that they can go to swimming lessons. July has been a record breaking season of high heat which makes our fire season worse. I heard that lots of Yosemite is on fire and that makes me so sad.

While I was with my cousin, we journaled our daily adventures. Now I started Camp Reset 2018, a virtual camp online as well as Revival Camp 2018 with Illustrated Faith. I love jouranling and using my creative skills while I am at it. I hope to start blogging more regular again.

Today's Saying: On the rollercoaster again!

My final test came in.I have osteoporosis. My hips show significant bone loss which puts me at risk for a possible break if I fall. So now I have to take a medicine which I start on Monday. I need to continue my strength training which helps to build new bone. I plan to do what I can and not let this get me down. I still want to hike Diamond Head when we go to Hawaii in November. My mom fell in late 60's and broke her hip so I knew I was at risk. She recovered in 4 weeks with a lot of determination. I have my family to think about so I won't let set back keep me down. Now if I can just get to Disneyland and get on the new Incredibles Roller Coaster!

June 9, 2018
Today's Saying: Car got a tune up and so did I!

I was having some pain on my right upper side and was concerned that is was happening more often. So a coupe of months ago I tried to get a doctor appoinetment but my doctor was booked. I ended up going to an urgent care appointment. The dotor suspected it could be my gall bladder so he ordered blood work and an ultrasound. My gall bladder, pancreas and liver were all scanned and I never heard anything. So all okay there. I was on a strict diet for a week with very little fats. I went for my blood work and all my test came back great, the best they had been in years. I know it was because of the diet. I also have been working at the gym, focusing on strenth training, not aerobics. This past Monday I had my follow up appointment with my regular doctor and she said all my test were good. I told her I was concerned about my weight loss and she said to keep eating well and and weight training. I had my pap and I chatted away while she examined me. She said that some people lose more muscle than others. So weights and eating enough protein are important. I had my bone scan and mammogram Thursday and I am hoping those come out okay too. My last scan showed I have osteopenia, the precursor to osteoporosis.

It has been a quiet week this week but next week we have the grands all week. Vacation Bible school starts Tuesday and I will take them and my daughter will pick them up. I might go to the gym after I drop them off. I need to get there more often. I also need to watch what I eat again. I have been indulging all week and I am paying the price for it. Bad me! Bye

June 1, 2018
Today's Saying: Half way through the year!
Today is the last day of school for the grands and I am sure they
will be here a lot the next two months. I am working on my 100
Days of Journaling and on track with my Bible reading. Hawaii is
less than 6 months away now. Pearl Harbor Memorial is closed for
now because of structural problems. Hopefully it can be fixed.

Today's Saying: Happy Memorial Day!

May 6, 2018
Today's Saying: Moving things around the house,
in the gym and in my craft room.

Life has been so busy. I have been going to the gym to build muscle and increase endurance. Our family is going to Hawaii in November and I want to be as active as I can. My daughter wants to hike Diamond Head and it has a lot of steps. I hiked it inn 2012 and the part of was hard on my hips. I am sure the time will go by fast as it always does.

My son and his wife will be moving in with us for awhile and so I am packing up my craft room. A lot of stuff will be going in the garage. It is a good time to get rid of things. I have a hard time parting with things, but I have to. I have to get rid of books which I hate to do. But I probably won't read them and the kids are not book readers. I grew up in a family where my parents read and even had a library. All my siblings have book cases too with books. But with the internet, books are not as important. I will not part with my favorites. I spend a lot of time Bible jouranling so I will keep most of it. I hope to post some pictures the next time I blog. Have a happy Sunday!

The days have just flown by! I had a very nice Easter with my family. The only bad thing is all the candy that they get that I want to eat! On April 3rd I started a a devotion call One Hundred Days of Promises. I am doing it with many women and we are in a Facebook group which is a branch off of the Illustrated Faith Group. I love illustrating my faith. There is a link to the right that has some of what I have done.

My husband and I started working out at a new gym in town and they have a room that has a movie theater screen. So my hubby can watch a movie while on the treadmill. I am looking for a bathing suit so I can swim there or take a water class. We just got hit with a heat wave so working out in a cool, clean, state of the art gym is great. My son, his wife and her mom joined too. My daughter has been working out at another gym for a few years now. So we are all getting in shape because we are goin to Hawaii the day after Thanksgiving! We have a Marriott time share with our son and we have waited 2 years to finally get 2 two bedroom villas. Everyone started saving for this over a year ago. Flights have been made as well as our airport shuttle to Los Angeles International Airport and back. If you go to my Site Map, you can find links to my other vacations.

Last Friday my daughter and her kids and myself drove to Big Bear Mountains. We were there for the last day of tubing and the weather was 63 We hope to go back next winter when there is moe snow. I bettergo and get caught up in my Bible through the year reading. We just started Samuel. Have a great week. Hugs

Todays Saying:Easter Blessings!

The weather has been so nice the past few days and will be perfect for Easter Sunday. Tomorrow we are going to Disneyland. My son said that last year it was really slow on good Friday. Not sure what I am wearing to church yet but looking forward to the day. So many great memories of past Easters and there is a link on the left on those memories.
Two years ago I started Bibe journaling and I love it. I am right on track with my Bible through the year and I just started the book of Judges. I did a a Kay Arthur Bible study on Judges. I am finishing my Lent study and getting ready to do the 100 Days of Bible Promises by Shanna Noel of Illustrated Faith. I have been collecting things I wan to use for this to go along with what I have. Michael's now carries Illustrated Faith Bible journal items! I have got several things there with coupons. I got my pens on sale at Lifeway Christian Bookstore on sale. The study starts April 3 and there is a Facebook group that is doing this togther. My grands love what I do and they want a journaling Bible. Maybe for Christmas.
This week I started working out at Chuze Fitness that just opened up in my city. I do not need to lose weight, but I do need to build stamina and some muscle. I need to exercise and get healthy. My husband is doing this with me as well as my son and his wife and her mom. My daughter has been going to another place but may switch over. The place is really clean and the selling point for the guys is the movie room. It has a movie screen and you can use a treadmill or cycle while you watch the movie. I plan to go back on Saturday. Well I will leave you with these pictures. Happy Easter!

Todays Saying:Springback...

We had a nice time at Disneyland yesterday. My Fitbit said we walked 5 miles! Good thing since we ate a lot too! I was so tired last night and went to bed earlier than normal for me. So that it what I meant as springback. A big rain storm is coming in this evening. We need the rain, but not good for the areas that were on fire.

Happy to hear how well I Can Only Imagine is doing at the movies. I just love the song and have the CD that the song is on. We hope to see the movie about Paul that comes out this Friday too. Love the $5.00 senior prices too!

March 20, 2018
Todays Saying: Happy first day of Spring

Rain is coming in tonight for the rest of the week so we are going to enjoy our day at Disneyland. Hubby won't be renewing his pass until after the new year. We are saving for our Hawaii trip. I will be making some changes too with my spending. We won't be doing anything thing to the house this summer like we have in the past. So my front door will have to wait and well as the new paint. I am on track with my Bible reading and just about to finish Deuteronomy. Have a great week!

Todays Saying: Winter still with us.

Got this book at Hobby Lobby and read it in 2 days. It was very interesting and I am looking forward to seeing the movie. I am on track with my Bible reading and about to finish Numbers.
On Thursday I went to a taping of America's Got Talent. We were very close to the streets where the Rose Parade Floats travel.

Todays Saying: Thank you Billy Graham!

I found this on Facebook and it made me smile. Not just because of all the people waiting to say thank you. It is because he has his Bible with him. I started a chronological study of the Bible through the year. I have read the Bible through a few times, but I am gaining so much insight this time. My grands asked why I like to read the Bible so much. I told them that God wants us to read the Bible. And what we learn from the Bible is the only thing we take with us when we go to Heaven. And I am sure the first person Billy got to see what Jesus!

I am enjoying my Bible jouornaling/illustrating. I am doing a few studies besides my daily reading. I don't journal much of the daily reading unless I really feel led to. I illustrate in many different ways. I use watecolor or scrap book and even use things I find on the net. Here is an example of a page I did while I reading Numbers. God gave the order of the tribes as they got ready to march to the promise land. Each banner has ther name of the tribe and the amount of people. The center shows the Levites and the Tabernacle. Visual items always make it easier to understand. When I was a Sunday school teacher, I made the Ark of the Covenant out of a long cardboard storage box. The kids took turns carrying it with the poles. They walked solemnly around the room. My friend made the 10 Commandments that went in to Ark along with Aaron's rod and manna. I used tapioca to represent the mana and I out it in a container I had sprayed God. I might to it again to teach my grandkids!

Todays Saying: Rain is here! Winter houses still up.

Last Friday I went to the tobyMac HitsDeep Concert Tour. I had a great time. We went to dinner at TGIF first. It was a fun night and we all were wearing our LuLuRoe outfits. I enjoyed dressing up and have another dress picked out for Valentine's Day.

Danny Gokey from American Idol sand his song called Masterpiece. It is based on Ephesians 2:10. It is one of the vereses from the study on Love I am doing. He even sang it in Spanish! He sang so many good songs! Comeback, Tell Your Heart to Beat, Rise. I was good and did not bye the CD. I normall go crazy and buy things at concerts or conferences. But Since I have been buying LuLuRoe clothes, I have to make cut backs in other things.

Mandisa was great too and I have all her CD's except the newest. Toby and his group Diverse City were great. They song several songs but the one that stays is were he sings "I don't want to gain the world and lose my soul which is from the Bible, Mark 8:36.

Todays Saying: More warm weather.

80's all week and will continue until next week. We really need rain or we will be back to drought levels. Maybe I should not have put up that header above! At least it was clear so that we could see the super red blood moon eclipse. I took a picture around 2 am and then went to bed. Hubby woke me up so I could take the 2nd picture. Both are taken with my Cannon using the zoom.

is about 30 miles from here. Awesome!

Marina and Audrina showing Ariel their Luluroe Ariel leggings.

Isn't this cute?

I only made it to Disneyland once in January because I was sick.
I took this picture of the Paradise Pier sign on it's last day.
Disney is changing it to Pixar Pier with other changes that
reflect the changes to make it Pixar Pier. I do not like it!

Packed up my snowmen, and moved my cottages to the mantle.
I will change it over again next week for Valentine's.

Todays Saying: Winter???

We were at 80 yesterday and about 76 today. So. California can have some crazy weather but we don't get snow here. Since this new house is smaller, I can't decorate as much. So now that our Disney theme takes first place, our snowmen have to wait. I also changed the Nativity tree to snowmen/country theme.

Well I still have a cold which still lingers in my sinuses. My chest is pretty clear, but the nose is not. My hubby made me chicken soup last week and that was great.

This past weekend we went to the memorial service of a friend from church. We serve on the women's board togther and were involved in several teas. She had a really nice video montage and I was able to submit some pictures. I was really touched with the teas she had with her grand daugters I got this tea set for my grand daughters and I plan on having a real tea party with them.

I am still doing Bible journaling with the Illustrated Faith Facebook group. I am also doing a Bible through the year reading program with them. We are going in Chronological order. I have read the Bible through a couple of times. I love the insight I am getting this time.

Todays Saying: Happy Sunday and Happy Birthday Andrew!

Another week had flown bye! It is early Sunday morning and I thought I better get this post done. We had rain on Tuesday and 80 today. We took the grands to see the Greatest Showman with Hugh Jackmen and it was great. I loved the song titled This is Me. Our grands love musicals but there mom does not. So she was happy we took them. They got it from their dad. I love musicals. I remember my parents taking us to see Sound of Music and Fidder on the Roof. We hope to take them to see Wonder on Monday if I am feeling well. I have a cold but I should be better by then. I took a flu shot and I know so many are against it, but I hope to never get the flu again. I got it in 1968 and it was awful! I feel for the people that are getting it and people have died from it. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow to go to church. I watched a church service earlier today from a local church. They are doing a study ont he book of Revelation. After church we plan to go to lunch to celebrate my son Andrew's birthday. My firstborn will be 37. I have 3 babies in heaven all older than him that I will see in Heaven someday. Happy Sunday!

Todays Saying: Happy New Year!

I hope I can come here at least once a week. I remember a time I was here daily and enjoyed all my friends that also had blogs. But so many have left and I am one of a few that have a website. Though I have a blogger site, I don't use it much. I will when I close this site up.
I belong to a group on Facebook called Bible Journaling with Illustrated Faith. I will be going on 2 years and enjoy it. This year some of us are reading through the Bible chronologically. I pray I can finish and having others on this journey with me is encouraging.
I am almost through taking down Christmas. I just have the main tree which is Disney themed. I changed my mantle and yearly tree over to country Snowmen, more of a winter theme. Since there is no snow here, I can pretend!
We have the grands another week since they are out of school. We hope to see the Greatest Showman this week. So happy Coco won the Golden Globe for best animated movie which we also saw.
My daughter in law sells a clothing line called LuLuRoe. I enjoy wearing my clothes and will share some outfits here. They also sell a Disney line and you know I am a Disney fan. Have a blessed week!

Todays Saying: Happy New Year!

I can't believe I have not posted in over a month. It has been a busy few months. The grands keep us pretty busy. I kept up with my Novemember Graditude journaling but did not finish December. But I am starting something new for 2018. I will be reading the Bible in a year chronologically. I will be doing it with many other women with the Illustrated Faith journaling group. My priority will be reading the Word and journaling as it permits. I also want to get back to blogging. Thanks to pictures and Facebook, I can update here if I want.
Every year I do the one word for the year and I was not going to do it. I really did not feel motivated. But my friend Judy sent me a book and it was a book on creative mindfulness. I do want to keep it Christ focused and will work on my page for it here at my blog. The other thing that was coming to me was really making an effort to let go of things. I went to Dayspring and they have this test to find a word and I got Simplify! So those two words are going to be my guiding base. Here is one of the verses based on it. Colossians 3:2English Standard Version (ESV)Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Another word that comes to my mind is purpose. Loving my family is my main purpose. Sharing God's love with them is a part of that. Looking forward to 2018!
